@240fp WTH??? Bro have you ever even handled PVC before??? It's not that brittle... The point of the video was a cheap efficient target stand you don't have to cry over for ruining with a stray shot...
I think you'll find that PVC is too brittle for use as target stands. It's not just shooting them, something as benign as dropping them from a one foot height can shatter PVC.
Why all the gluing? If you leave them unglued then the stand is modular and broken pieces can be easily replaced, requires less storage space and easier to carry to and from the shooting area. Friction fit has worked well for me. Good vid.
i work at a place that sells only water products like this ... i made a few of these ... they were free cough ... i made one out of sch 40 like yours but from 200 yards sighting in my rifle i hit the pipe and it just explodes ... if you want more of a rigid made use ABS cell core pipe for the main pieces it basically heals its self when and if you shoot it
@the308capital Great idea/video. This is definitely a lot better than the 50 pound Home Depot buckets I have for my target stands. Took a 4x4 waxed it then poured quickrete around it in the bucket. I guess a bit extreme for windy days after seeing your set up.
Thanks for the vid Aaron, I was just thinking of what to do for target stands so this helps alot. Any video of the shooting competition coming our way?
@the308capital yea I think he just wanted to chime in with something to feel special!! Keep up the good work bro!!!

@downshift03 Exactly, I don't think 240FP has used PVC before. Yeah, he's right it will shatter.....if you drop it from a 5 story building.

Great minds think alike. :) I just made a video on anchoring my target stands with the same type of spikes.

@TheLateBoyScout Those spikes really are the perfect size for these stands.
