Actually, the Rev's head and body movement was more along the Ray Charles model...a pattern common to the blind, I think. Roy and I come by ours separately and authentically.
Marvelous, Rolly!! Ragtime was very much my thing back when I taught in the 70's. This is a great rag and you play it wonderfully! I really enjoyed the workshop the other night and look forward to learning more. I'd be honored if you'd check out some of my videos. Thanks for posting. Let me know contact info, k? Bunny (bb)
Great playing! And awesome sound! I thought you could only get that good sounds from a maton 808 ;-). And by the way thanks for your amazing chordlessons!
What a privilege it must have been to meet Gary Davis in person, I'm sure he was quite a character, I'm so jealous !, very nice Rag in he's style :)

Excellent. I love the head and body movement. Noticed Roy Book Binder makes that same kind of movement. Is it perhaps that the Rev did that as well?

Key of C. It starts on a G7, which is the V chord.

Awesome playing m8y. I don't think you can beat 'Ragtime', on the guitar... 5***** and shared/subbed..

Great playing Rolly. Reminds me of the old days at the Needle's Eye. Still playing that Hummingbird?

Totally rockin'. And I too want to thank you for the chord lessons. More a veritable Thanksgiving of choral food in 6 minutes.
