  • Dang I love your passion!!!

  • Hi again! Amy.. to cont'l text messages the reason why I said because I notice now days more hearing asl teachers not much deaf asl teachers which i concern many times I have been seen most hearing asl teachers are oppression toward deaf people and deaf people still "sleepy" and not realize how serious hearing asl become more enpowerd than deaf. so we need to stand up and overcome hearing asl's enpowers and let deaf enpower their deaf culture. Agree? wink...

  • Hey! Amy Cohen Efron,, you are really powerful comments. Sorenson Company wants what? MONEY, MONEY MONEY for profits which they thanked to dumb deaf community so We all deaf community MUST stand up and fight our culture rights which not allows hearing become more oppressive toward deaf community. It really scary. Let me explain about my strong believes.

    cont'l next text messages.

  • You don't need to give any money to the organization. You are under no obligation to use the audiology or speech therapy services they are offering.

By the way, if you compare Deaf and Hearing graduation pictures from any school, they will look the same.

If I make a vlog everytime I got something in the mail I didn't agree with or wasn't interested in, I would have no time left.

Just put it in the recylce.

  • Hi Amy. You made this video 2 1/2 years ago. Are you still upset?

  • @billmaghan Ridiculous! Are you really wanting to offend her? It not really matters how long take off vlogs/comments because thousand people may not watch them. Use your common senses. Thank you

  • @germandeafASL __No. Some time has passed and I want to know how Amy feels about it now. This has no connection to how often anyone vlogs.

  • Amy,

Is there any way you could subtitle your videos? I am a new student of ASL and I want to understand all the issues your are talking about, but it is over my head. There are so many ASL students out there now, you could really reach and educate a whole group of students! Thank you!

  • they are lost of thinking about what the deaf world is important than others, They need to know best!

  • hello

  • I AGREE WITH YOU!

  • Most people don't understand sign language, not because they were not taught the language during their elementary education, but sign language is uniquely difficult to use because it requires hand coordination skills. Some people have poor hand coordination which makes it difficult for them to learn sign language, not because they don't understand it.

  • Behalf of Amy Cohen and Deaf Channel Organization... That ENVELOPE Amy show us was a JOKE!! A PURE JOKE!!

DEAF and ASL is the CORE!!!

Thank you for bring it up!!

  • wow you are great lady !!!!lol

  • Amy, why don't we put your video on the news across the U.S. and see if all the hearing business or people would be upset with you for all the money they donated for the school and flat out stop donate money, your school will fall, why should we money to your school now????

  • don't be stupid

  • LOL I like the remote at the end of video - priceless.

    Good video Amy

  • Way go AMY! I always love your vlog and blog. Well research and reliable. I agreed with u 100% bec I was a Gally student E1980 and 2005, very surprise they are still audism and favor ASL very little when come like somehing u just said. How very sad!

  • It's nice to know someone like you caring about us so fiercely. I support you! I was a Gally student. In 90s, I noticed 2 best of biology professors were Deaf, but horrible biology professor was head of biology dept was happened to be hearing. She wasn't fluency in ASL and "baby" us in classes. Gosh, now they have audiology, speech therapy and so on. Ghosts of AG Bell are polluting Gally which was founded with helps of Thomas Gallaudet and Laurent Clerc.

  • i agree with you. I enjoy all of your video. It is always fully research and fully investigated. I rated number one best blog on deaf community.

  • This makes me embarassed to be an interpreter...

  • Yes, I am angry with you for saying NO THANKS. Wait a minute, I said that? Ooops, I meant I am angry with Gally for not mentioning ASL. Therefore, we (DEAF) still have been staying strongly with communicating in ASL. Of course, our ASL has a solid foundation forever and ever! So anyway, I totally agree with you because I don't like them to remove ASL for no apparent reason. Thank you for sharing with me.

  • WOW...i totally agree with you to keep ASL live forever to keep deaf culture and deaf awareness to be seen everywhere in this world .. that is why we have sign language rights rally last week of September .. i dont like to see Gallaudet University to become hearing university.... hell no .... i was aslo graduate from gally 93 for A.S.S. degree (Assoicate of Applied Science) anyway we have to do something to file an petition online or whatever to stop that stupid brick . take care

  • WOW AMAZING!!

I have to say the big word!!

I understand how u feel. Myself who is deaf also & Ive three kids who are deaf too. Ive seen many hearing parents who have deaf kids. They refuse to learn sign language, only speech & CI.

I met a person, they told me that at my local children hospital. They'll never add deaf w/ asl or deaf history. They use medical reasons w/ CI. Thats make me pissed off.

  • good!

  • Sorry, I don't understand sign language. Is there something I should know when viewing this video? Yes. I am also hearing impaired. But not severely.

  • I'm sorry you don't love yourself. It's not your fault. They abuse your dignity and esteem. We don't like terms like hearing impaired or severly. We say just deaf or 100% deaf when referring to "severly" deaf. I'm 100% deaf! :P

  • wow I am former Gallaudet student 1990-92 and teachers signs PSE mostly...only if ASL is when teachers are Deaf. Sad to see Gallaudet deviating from ASL Culture into path of oralism and PSE or SEE. It shows strong audism is everpresent at Gallaudet's administrative level.

  • mmm. I am very interested to find out if President Davila reviewed and approved?

  • Hi Amy,

Wow! I did not receive that and I am a GUAA member! Even when we both were students at Gallaudet, really thats not Gallaudet you know, eh when we were students ASL was only accepted for social communication but was not even allowed in the classroom hey most of my teachers were hearing and signed SEE or PSE, but never ASL as long as I was a student there.

  • hello.. Oh my gosh, I can see u look like veryy mad about Gallaudet About set up.. I am sorry hear about this.... Plus i like and enjoy watch ur all videos smile
