  • Nice lane to cycle down. Good to see everyone giving you lots of room.

  • I find it much easier at night. My lights are impossible to ignore.

  • @yangtse55 Coming the other way at 22:30, cars do slow down/stop cause of my Magicshine.

  • Scary, isn't it? Because of drivers like this, I now hold the centre of road on lanes like that until they slow right down, before I move left and we pass each other. A very few drivers will take it right to the point where I'm about to dive left out of the way. I don't want to play a game of chicken, but I'm forced to do something to avoid high speed close passes.

  • @CyclingMikey +1: I do the exact same thing, and we have a lot lanes like that down here in Cornwall.

  • With no street lights and no reminder plates I'd say it's a fair bet that's it's National Speed Limit which would be 60mph.

  • Whats the speed limit on that road? I would be afraid to cycle on it because of the blind corners.

  • @UrbanCyclist100 I believe its a 30 limit on that road. I wouldn't want to be doing 30 down it anyway cause of the crap surface, the tyre tracks are worn smooth so I ride down the middle of the road where there is better traction. I limit myself to about 20mph cause of the bends but I can hear cars before seeing them.

  • It's a shame we can't get a holographic projector that makes us look like a LandRover or a Transit ...
