Every time I watch this I end up blaming Kate and her mum. I don't know why, but I just don't like either of them, and I blame them for Allan's death. Well, her mother, more than Kate, but both of them just annoy me.

I cried when I first saw this... And watching it again? My heart just broke in half... I was so TICKED they decided to kill off Allan.... First Royston, then Will, and now Allan? The only person I didn't want to scream at in the third season? *Sniffs* People tried signing a petition to get more seasons, but I wouldn't care to watch them if they did. Without Allan, Robin Hood is NOTHING DDDDDDD:

I totally agree. WHY ALLAN!?!? The show MIGHT have gone on for one last series without Robin (Archer as the new leader), but killing Allan was the death blow for the entire show.

Seasons 1 and 2 were amazing, my favourite tv series ever, then season 3 was just appalling. :(

I didn't want Allan to be killed - he was the best and as he was the first character ever seen at the beginning of the 1st series, he should have made it to the end.

I think this show lost me when Harry Lloyd (Will Scarlett) left.

Geez, even when Xander turned into a total ass in the sixth season, at least he was still kind of likable. If you don't know what I mean, Xander abandons Anya at the altar in 6th season Buffy, the Vampire Slayer.

Joss may have a thing where no character can have a happy relationship or be happy in general, but at least he didn't kill off everyone's favs!!! Grr.

i only started watching robin hood last week, my flatmate has the first series boxset. i have been completely obsessed with it since, i'm now near the end of series 2. i completely love allan he is a great character and this has just completely broken my heart :( but neways still love the show

i stopped watching this after Marian died. The story is crap on this. And the BBC just kill off all the good characters. They get rid of Marian and Will, then Gisbon and Allan, and then Robin. Allan was my favourite character as well. And that was such a shit death, at least give him a heroic death where he goes down fighting, not running away. FUCK YOU BBC!

the reason he ran on the road is because if he went through trees he would be slower than the army chasing him (horses would cut him down). another reason he would do this is so that he gets to robin as soon as possible, because robin during this scene is in a death trap).

best thing he could've done is stayed at the camp, but that would go against everything allan is :(

Omg totally agree. Allan was the best character ever on Robin Hood. The fact that he died was complete rubbish, how could they kill off one of the best parts of their show. Totally sad and weeping buckets. :'(. Gonna miss him soo much. Why allan?!

He has been there from the first ep, the first person we meet, and then is killed one episode before the finale.

It's outrageous!

And the way he died was so stupid, fine a few arrows, but hes an outlaw who lives in the forest. So knows his way around it, they could have at least make him run through the forest to make it slightly believable, instead of sending him down a road in plain sight.

This was thought up in five mins!

I cried so much when I watched this episode. I was screaming so loud my room mate had to knock on my door and see what was up :P But I was in shock :P

I know how you feel. I felt the same way when Marian was killed. That's why I haven't been really watching the 3rd season. Then my friend informed me of Allen dying. I'm very upset with the writers.

I agree. The producers have ruined my life. The only reason why I've watched series three was because I kept thinking it would get better at the end. I figured it couldn't get any worst, so... But then they kill ALLAN!!!!! Ugh!!! It was so sad; I cried when I watched it. I couldn't believe it. I couldn't.

Well, the good thing with Will is that they can bring him back:))) Unlike Robin, Marian and Allan.

Yeah- they should have killed Kate. Allan was actually a really wonderful character. I guess Joe Armstrong was leaving the show and they needed to get rid of him somehow.
