you can't make a person understand a likening to a certain type of music. I never cared for it. Just like some people say they hate ABBA (Though I think most of them do, re: dirty little secret). I love Abba, but i can understand that not everyone does. But telling someone "Oh please. Rock Me Amadeus and Viena Calling are simply gorgeous pop classics." is not trying anything but belittling their opinion. Ya wanna try making me understand certain people's fascination with hasselhoff?

Oh please was just an expression of shock because if you like and listen to pop, they are nice and melodic pop songs even if you don't like the style of Falco. I, too, do not like Falco's style, but he hit the bull's eye with those songs and they are the only world-famous hits of him. I don't like Hasselhoff but I can easily understand with people's fascination because he is a handsome and attractive man. Do you understand the difference?

There are alot of handsome celebrities. It's the talentless ones that bother me. I, personally, can't stand the sight of Paris Hilton anymore. With too many celbrities these days, I think the media has more interest in them than the general public. But I digress. In your defense, I will admit to liking certain quirky songs, i.e. One Night In Bangkok, Da Da Da, I'm too Sexy, etc. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who can't understand my liking for those. That's cool, though

I guess that's always been my "problem". I always liked happy, feel-good music. Which brings me to my problem with hip-hop. How many songs with ho's, murder, cop-killing, and a beat down life can one listen to? If they want to complain about their lives, fine, but I don't wanna hear it. Especially from someone who has finally found a way OUT of actually needing a voice to sing. If they had to SING a note, I wonder how many there would be.

My fear is that ten years later there will be even no Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, I mean, no pop singer, whether good or bad, and rap and hiphop shit will take over completely and we will be listening to "oldies stations" all time.
