When do you believe the count down really started May 14, 1948 or Nov 29, 1947. If started in 1948 70 years = May 2018, subtract 7 years for Trib = May 2011. But Jesus goes by the Jewish calendar (Feasts). 3 still have to be fulfilled in his return. If Jesus returns during the Feast of Trumpets 2017 then everything should start this fall Sept 8-18 or in Oct 2010?

What makes you think the numbers are not inspired? You demean previous translators. I assure you, the holy people who laboriously maintained the Bible for more than a thousand years before the printing press took their duties prayerfully and seriously. Did you ask the Holy Spirt to guide YOUR hand before you made the claim that verse 14 should be divided into two separate verses? The enumerator combined the two ideas of verse 14 into one verse so to avoid an extremely short concluding sentence.

The 18 verses (9-26) are divided into a 6-6-6 pattern and the following 15 verses (27-41) are split into a 5-5-5 pattern. You disagree?
No one at my church preaches or teaches on Revelation at all, ever. Even though the brothers are baptised by the Holy Spirit, I guess nobody has the understanding on end time prophecy. They stress repentence and that our relationship with God be as perfect as it can be. But I think knowing these things can make people more serious Christians and scholars of the Bible. He was talking about the remnant Catholics, the remnant Protestants having already been raptured. There will be very, very few in either group.

I think your crazy. The authour didn't put those numbers in - some guy over 1000 years later did - the numbers are not inspired.
For example there is no reason why v14 should be one verse - he could have broken it on the "and" like he did in the previous verses.

numbering of the New Testament started around 300AD using paragraph divisions.
different verse numbering schemes were used until the Geneva bible. around 1500AD.
verse numbering is only useful if everyone uses the same scheme - otherwise - whats the point.
some of the chapter divisions in our current scheme are clearly wrong as they "split a block" but so what.
there is no magic in the numbers.
