iPod Touch doesn't have GPS or the ability to get onto the Internet while you're in the car (3G), so you'd probably be better off using your regular non-smart cellphone. On a non-smart phone, Trapster uses SMS.
If you use Trapster on a non-smart phone, it uses SMS to send you messages about where police are in the areas you've defined on the map at the Trapster website. Also, once you register your non-smart phone, you can use it report live traps using your voice (just say the address or intersection) by calling the Trapster tip line at 8662080466.

You can't put it on "any" phone. The application is for smartphones with GPS capability.
