Actually, Germans aren't all that offended by communist paraphernalia, the Wall is may be an issue, but hats, badges, etc aren't a big deal.  Nazi stuff can get you fined and arrested over there however.

I got a whole bag of them. But most of them are East German. They were sold for half nothing in Camping/Survival stores years ago. I am glad I bought them, because they keep me warm during the winter. The best winter head-gear you can buy, and probably the only good thing the commies ever produced.
