There are a myriad of possibilities why there could be aliens who have not contacted us. Including their technological inability, their desire not to interfere with our disaster, their lack of desire, etc. There's also the possibility that we have been contacted on a small scale. Who knows and who cares. Unless they DO contact us and make some fundamental change in this existence than I really could care less.

The greatest threat to the Earth, all life and the universe itself is the monetary system. If the Lifeboat Foundation does not recognize this threat, then the foundation is a joke. I would like to know what is the Lifeboat Foundation doing to eradicate the monetary system?
Well I don't no anything. But The resources on this planet are finite or not infinite. The resources I mean are food and water. The worlds population is 7 billion and I figure that about 5 of that billion are a clear result of oil. In 152, years oil has been able to increase the world population from 1.6 B in 1850 2 years before oil was first drilled to the 7 B it is today.
Oil has made farming easier more food to be produced and easier to transport. Its running out so now what how many die?

In Australia its law that you may only take a 5 minute shower. After they cut your water off so your stuck with soap or shampoo in your eyes. So there are real issues that need addressing not the religious one's.

They are starting to convert his books to Audio- Books. The sample audio-book I heard, I just couldn't move while listening to it! And I don't impress easily. So basically it's quiet in the universe because alien species with advanced technology wipe themselves out (or are destroyed by an external factor) before they can master long-distance, deep-space communication and transport? We are one such 'alien species' approaching this point?
There was a wonderful Twilight Zone episode a few years ago, from the new ones or maybe it was The Outer Limits, well anyway, Te episode dealt with a high school student discovering a simple chemical process that led to a simple WMD being created. The episode made a point of saying what you are saying here. There is something that is either a) keeping civilizations out there from talking to us or b) destroying said civilizations before they are able to advance.
