  • Omtola d best in Africa,i dnt knw why y'll are complaining on who dey gave lead roIe.Itz obvious d both of dem are d lead roles if not omotola nor genevieve would have accepted d role. When i saw dis movie omotola's role was more challenging.

  • Where can I download or stream this movie? And what is the name of the song at the end?

  • Been waiting for IJE for over a year now. Will I ever see it!!! Google Nollywood Forever for movie reviews.

  • am Nigerian but i live in United States.i honestly dnt see anythn wrong with nigerian accent,i luv it........alot of people crave for american accent n dat is sooo stupid...Genevieve was so real in d movie, she didnt try to fake her accent, she acted like who she really is n am so proud of her.

  • omfg, is dis a nigerian movie. finally am proud of nollywood. why cant all our movies have this type of video quality?

  • u don't have to be that hars,do u...when u travel, whether u like it or not, everyone is no reacting the same way.some get the foreign accent quit . it doesn't matter also if Omotola play and ibo girl it is just a movie. y don't u get mad when Ini Edo, calabar girl as me, plays an igbo girl...

  • good video

  • Proud of My Country

  • Naija i respect you wow greetings from South africa and i am South African I love you guys Genevieve is my favorite and omotola

  • 9ice 1....keep it mehn,u guys re getting der...loving it seriously

  • I like the message. Nigerians are so quick to want to come to the US but they don't realize how messed up our legal system is.

  • This is indeed an unprecedented move. I just hope the investors get a return on their investment.

btw somebody tell me the name of that asa song

  • This is indeed an unprecedented move. I just hope the investors get a return on their investment.

  • Wow!... I love this!

  • the story line is no different from what we are used to, perhaps the only difference is in the quality of the video and the fact that it was shot partly in the US. we hv seen videos coming out oof neighbouring Ghana that hv the same or better video and sound quality without the help of US technicians. Omotola's voice & diction came out way better than Genevieve's and yet Genevieve was given the lead role becos she is Igbo and an Igbo produced the film. Sad.

  • @7979jane Please do tell....which Nigerian or Ghanaian film has had this same storyline? I'm sorry, but I have not seen one. Whether other films did not have the help of US technicians is neither here or there( and may be untrue). Why cant you just give this film its dues rather than trying to castigate it in the usual Nigerian manner of late?

  • @7979jane See comments like yours make me laugh truly! 1st, Genevieve is more famous altho by a small margin. 2nd, Yoruba movies are released ALL the time with ALL the actors being of Yoruba descent and nobody flips an eyelid. Igbo made movies if you notice always include a very diverse cast in comparison so that whole tribal nepotism argument you are trying to start will not just fly. Lastly, we r all Nigerian & good work na good work! This coming from an Urhobo/Esan girl.

  • @7979jane oh pls..give me a break.."Omotola's voice & diction came out way better than Genevieve's and yet Genevieve was given the lead role becos she is Igbo and an Igbo produced the film. Sad." wat is sad is ur level of reasoning...wen are we gonna grow past tribalism..smh.if u gonna critise do dat without sentiments..am happy u pointed out why d movie stands(which is why its not like any other movie)and a movie with 2 great actresses, one must be a supporting actress..get over urself already

  • @xty070 am yoruba and u so stupid..do u know how many roled omotola gets as being an ibo person...she hardly plays yoruba girls....omotola is older than genevieve....they needed two big actresses...omotola fit the role of an older sister. genevieve was just going to america so she is suppose to have naija accent....you africans are never satisfy....if she has fake accent now yall go dey trip..shior

  • @9jatennischick i will try not to insult you back..read my comments again, cos i think we are saying d same thing and u are here insulting me

  • BY NOW EVERYONE UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM THAT KEEP OUR DEAR COUNTRY NİEGRIA BACKWARD, THAT İS TRİBALİSM, WE SHOULD REMEMBER ONE NİGERİAN.

  • @xty070 no way! Name another nigerian female actress dat can carry such a huge vid

  • @veranasti xplain urself cos i dont understand wat u r saying

  • @veranasti It's obvious that this movie is a huge project(esp financially) the Lead has to be an actress with enuf star quality and acting talent to carry the movie. So if Genevieve isn't good enuf for you, kindly suggest someone who could have done it better in nollywood

  • @7979jane by the way, genny is playing the role of a sister who hasnt left the shores of nigeria, while omotola has bin there for about 4yrs..cant u think the accent was deliberate..like i said earlier get over ur self already..

  • woooow this movie go bad ooooo,. l can't wait...

  • umm where was i when this was happening?!!

  • 2:19---omotola ia divinely, naturally & breathtakingly beautiful....that shot brought tears to my eyes! omg i want to see this movie now!

  • i love d soundtrack. it's nigeriian butt not d usual high pitched crap.

  • @1truthfulman genevieve and omotola have sealed the fact that they are the leading lights in nollywood.women are taking over the industry big time.the diretor is a woman too.i am proud 9ja woman.we did better than the men in football now we doing better in the movies.already we have been doing better in the music industry, where my asa and nneka at?

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperFeyi so u had 2 make it abt Nigerian woman now? i hail o! lol

  • if was goodluck jonathan i wll organise a party to celebrate every cast in crew in this film.what an almost perfect nigerian film.cant recall the last time i was spellbound by a film by a nigerian. all nigerian filmmakers have work to do and should be ashamed of themselves for letting us down all this years.so it does really require much to do a good film?thumbs up to genevieve, omotola, the director, producer of this film.

  • Is it just mere coincidence that Genevieve and Omotola look similar? The casting director for this movie got 10 out of 10 on that one!! Clem Ohameze, your own don better!! God don butter your bread!! Hollywood will soon be looking for you, Genevieve and Omotola - just like they found Djimon Housou!! But please stay true to your roots - don't give up your soul!!!

  • they garnish the movie with a song from Asa, dt makes it uniquely african.

  • i'll like to watch dis movie

  • Wow, this is top notch, i hope that the Academy, or the oga's and madam's of the Oscars, see this and recognize the talent of nollywood, we are the 2nd biggest in the world for christ sakes, and Genevieve and Omotola deserve some attention for their contributions to Nollywood!

  • @RimzyPink dis movie sure can contest anywhere and Genny and Omotola's contribution will most definitely pay-off including Chineze's

  • @Udezel pls stop d sentimental talk abt Genny & Omotola's accent. d story requires dt Omotola plays a Nigerian who've been in Diaspora 4 yrs hence d accent is perfect. If Genny wuz playin Omotola's role she'd hv had Omotola's accent infused- gerrit?

  • @kaylaych09 exactly... u got it big time.... the role she plays requires that accent and omotola for once has nailed an accent for her movie....

  • @kaylaych09 i agree, that udezel is an idiot! just bringing bias into the picture. stupidly irrelevant!

  • @jancci0x dts right

  • @kaylaych09 am lost what are you talking about

  • @kaylaych09 i feel u right on this one

  • excellent

  • d score is brilliant! d story is awesome! everything just falls in place in dis movie.

  • interesting!

  • damn !!!! i gotta watch dizz !!!!!!

  • IJE: THE JOURNEY IS IN CINEMAS (SILVERBIRD, GENESIS DELUXE CINEMAS, E-CENTRE - OZONE) LAGOS, ABUJA AND PORT HARCOURT FROM JULY 30TH 2010.......

I'VE MADE IT MY PROFILE PIC!! I'VE MADE IT MY STATUS MESSAGE..... MAKE IT YOURS TOOOO

IT'S 4 ONE OF OUR VERY OWN.... CHINEZE ANYAENE

  • THIS IS AN AFRICAN MOVIE. I usually dont like African movies shot in the U.S. & i like how Gene & Omo kept their accent in this movie, giving it a more African vibe. If they had switched their accents it will just look generic & cliche. Looks like a great movie.

  • @xoBeautySparkzxo

Me too. I usually do not like African movies shot in the U.S. But this movie looks so promising that i just can't wait to find this movie so i can watch it. God, i tired of looking at just the preview.

  • can't wait to see it!

  • I WAN WATCH THESS SOOOOOOO BAD NA.....

  • it seem cooll....can't wait 4 d rest, gene rocks n omo is too sexy remain cool 4 lyf peace up ma naija pepes we d best 4 lyf

  • genevieve should switch her accent up

  • @tomisinakatkid why explain urself.what is wrong with her speaking like a nigerian or an african woman.if u dont have anything sensible just shut uup and go americanized ur accent somewhere else.

  • @udezel watever monkey, no one asks her to change, isnt omotola is speaking nigerian accent as well ? ps dnt quote me again pls

  • @tomisinakatkid you call what omotola is speaking nigerian accent lol pls.always faking her it and twisting her english .genevieve has never spoken or twisted her english it is always the same except the director demands it.idiot go learn how to write english first before you reply me.

  • @tomisinakatkid for what reason? why do u think she is the most popular nollywood actress today?

  • where can i find this movie

  • this movie is the first nigerian international movie that cost more than a million dollars............ see this movie on july 30th

  • mhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh good movie but waiting to see the rest.

  • its in theaters july 30th in the U.S

  • hmmmmm:)

  • naija oh making serious movies

  • @libtrick7 u need to understand that the maker of this movie did it as a project for her college here in america with help from companies like kodak and more, she is not ur average naija director or producer who does movies in 3 days.

  • @beautifulgooal i get now seriously naija needs more good camera quality like dis they already have inspiration and talent

  • When Does This Movie Come Out.?

  • @Zoette2011 july 30th at various cinemas in nigeria, don't expect a dvd release soon.

  • NICEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • bullshit Nollywood needs to stay original, thwy dont need to go Hollywood...piece of american crap.

  • This looks like it is going to be a very good film. I can not wait until it is released.

  • This is just to show you don't have to have sex scenes and unnecessary nudity to make a film great. We don't do raw porn we do Movies!!!!! Plz SNM

  • @annomoh blatantly a shot at ghanians, please respect my country and its sex scenes

  • this is the kind of movie that should b bought nd not pirated!!!! it looks really gooodd!!!

  • awesome .

    nollywood meets hollywood

  • WOW

  • Where on this earth can I find this movie?

  • hééé Nollywood is becoming better and better, that's good

    GO AHEAD OO

  • Fuck this 9ja pussy whore, Ghanaians started this kind of movies before u lot so u better get a life..@ladefizz

  • @MyGhostfighter sweetie hush.

Why are you so angry? LMFAO

  • @MyGhostfighter hahaha you wish, Nollywood was long before the making of ghana movie first of all, you guys are like our junior brothers when it come to this. Secondly maybe when Nigeria start doing porn or showing excessive skin in their films then i can say Nigeria films took that from ghana

  • Comment removed

  • @Freespiritist lol yeah true that.

  • From home vids to this in a matter of 15 years? It brings tears to my eyes- literally. My pple are the best! Small thing we go even pass Bollywood and get the Oscars nawao....As for Genevieve, I guess once you get featured on Oprah, it's time to step up ur game. Go Genny!
