buying this game now, i have a couple of questions though...

1) is it worth buying and installing the expansion befor i have played the classic diablo 2?

2) can i use a single player chacter on multiplayer, and can i use a multiplayer chacter on single player?

3) have i got the multiplayer all wrong?

@kaine180 yes you need to both classic and the expansion, when you play "closed" realm play on battlenet everything is legit and that's where the new ladder season is.

If you play "open" battlenet that's where you can use your single player characters online, but of course these are separated from joining the same games.

@acesmak Little off on this one. Single player is separate from battlenet but not open. So your single player characters can play online with others.

you need 1 from every Boss (Andy/Durial/Meph/Diablo/Baal) once you have all 5, you put them into your Cube and xmute them for another respecialization scroll.

Pretty much instead of getting 3 for free (Den of evil Norm/NM/Hell) once they're used you can get more. ^^

diablo 2 fullscreen works on my windows 7, but you have to double-click diablo 2 icon and wait 4-5 mins to start the game. same was happening when i had windows vista, also had to wait 4-5 mins to play.

Ahh u are lucky dude :( The Beta version is working for u , i try to updating my version to 1.13 but nothing works !! :( the Classic beta thing wont appear in the gateway :( i have the gateway editor thing but i try to add the classic beta without ip adress cause i dont have it :( ..someone had an idea ?

i have the gateway editor too and i just select classic beta from the editor and it shows up and works.. try adding this
