@powerslaveiron49 Eh, half the clean singers in metal nowadays can't even sing. Aggressive vocals can be "actual" vocals as well, they just have to be done well, as do clean vocals. It can be great for the mood and emotion, especially when the two are mixed. At least give them a shot- you shouldn't just write them off. Realize not everything YOU don't like is shit.

Amon Amarth isn't all that great a band in my opinion. Týr is the lightest band I listen to, normally it's Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, or Necrophagist.

Yes they did "form" in Denmark (a couple of the band members met up and decided to join a band there), but that does not mean they are Danish, they come from the Faroe islands. which technically is an autonomous province of Denmark. Technically they're Faroese. GodofBlackmetal is right. Oh and who really cares- I just wanted to throw in the info I found out, they're awesome!
