Persian women are completely different from Arab women. The only thing that Persian and Arab women have in common is Islam and Sharia Law in Iran. There are also Jews, Christians, Ba'hai and last but definitely not least Zoroastrianism. Persians were the first civilized people to exist that gave so much to the ancient world. Arabs started out as Bedouins of the deserts from North Africa to the Middle East but the Persians ruled those areas and most of Asia. Even the Muslim flag is Zoroastrian.

Well, they got slaughtered by 300.
It was the Greeks who took them on (I think, as far as my history goes, the Greek's banded together and defeated Persia)

What kind of man, sends sixty thousand, against barely even a thousand men (I'm just counting the Spartans.) AND STILL got beat.

Yeah...well Xerxes was consumed by his vendetta and didnot listen to Artemesia who counseled Xerxes to avoid fighting the Greeks at sea. Yet she still was out there fighting hand to hand out on her ship.

Well there were 1,000 men guarding the pass. Of them, 300 were the Spartans. All of them were ultimately killed. But in return they inflicted heavy casualties on the Perisans. Remember the Persians needed to get through Thermopylae to get their Army into mainland Greece. Thus, the Greeks had to defend that strategic pass. But the Persians had to take it, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to march further. Hence they sent thousands against the small band of Greeks.

Suryjava, the Attack on Thermopylae AND Macedonia (which again, destroyed Persia's capital) was totally Unprovoked. Now tell me, Why did they do this? Hmm? No reason whatsoever, and Greece certainly didn't attack.
I'm not getting this from books, because Unlike the pathetic government to which you all abide, I actually try to learn the real facts, not the stupid things Hollywood spreads around.

Actually, the Persians were not beat by the 300. They took heavy casualties, yes. Because the Spartans were guarding the narrow pass at Thermopylae. But remember that it ended up that the Spartans died to the last man.
By the way, there were many Greeks fighting in the Persian Army and Navy. Did You know about Artemisia in this vid (2:31)?? She was a Greek from the city of Halicarnassus, and was one of Xerxes' top miltiary commanders.

Wolfy, I have many friends who are Iranian-Americans and they proudly call themselves Persians. You see, Persian is an ethnicity, atleast to my understanding. And Iran is nationality. So all Persians come from the country known today as Iran, but not all Iranians are Persians, as there are other ethnic groups such as Azeri, Kurd, Arab, Baluch who live there.
