  • Is that dangerous?

  • @Rubikorigami -no it's not dangerous. I've been shocked thousands of times by this machine alone.

  • @CoconutScienceLab ok Thanks!

  • I have never really had luck making these. Maybe a little more effort would have got me farther

  • Proper little device.

  • Here is something to try stand on a plastic rug and keep your hand on the top of the machine you hair will stand up it is very cool lol .

  • It would be very useful to have a simple description or explanation in the Uploader's Description.

  • What would you use this for?

  • Very cool, thanks!!

  • This video makes me want to move my monitor away from my computer :P

  • lol this reminds me of my ioniser, used to put my hand covering it and touch my friends to give them a small static shock lol

  • does it hurt?

  • @lifescience2050 it feels a little sharper than the shock from rubbing your feet on the carpet, but not much. The charge of the dome is positive.

  • I saw it on mythbusters, generates static electric charge, Positive I suppose?

  • @humbleu yes, positive.

  • hi i really like your quality work in putting that thing together, i am almost done building mine, since yours is doing a good job in producing good voltage i was just wondering, i read somewhere that said it is better to put the brushes on the side where the belt is rolling away or off from the roller, does this matter or do you know which side works better to put the brushes at and can i put brushes on both sides of one roller to make it more effective, or to eliminate guessing??
