Hey question please. looking at buying this camera. Can you use NTFS formatted cards? the fat32 format makes several files when you record say an hour or so. Then the sound drops off at each clip when you stitch together in your editing program. What is your experience with this camera, if you know?
I format the cards in the camera only, never from the computer. There have been no sound drops that Ive noticed. Although, I have noticed it automaticly starts a second file after a 4gb limit has been reached, however the NLE I use (Edius Neo 2.5) blends them together seamlessly w/o any problems. And on top of that it edits the AVCHD files natively on the timeline w/o any converstion to another format. You will need a robust computer to keep up as I already mentioned in the report.
Pete:
Good Job.I enjoyed your presentation and learned a lot.
would like to be on your list.

Nice. Being able to edit without transcode is fantastic. Those .mts files are the becoming the death of me.
Yep, big horsepower needed. Agreed.
Thanks for your time.
