Also if you watch the interview properly you will see that Phil Donahue beleives that Hogan DID NOT take steroids. Therefore from all known sources Hulk Hogan didn't take steroids. The evidence is clear as day. As far as i know the only wrestler that ever took steroids is The Ultimate Warrior and thats only because of a leg injury.

Most of these accusations have always been in magazines like the National Enquirer, so that kind of information is not very reliable.

If he didn't stand up for the company or pro wrestling, it would be bad PR, and it would have been disrespectful to the boys in the locker room, whom depend on their CEO to stand up for their profession. If Vince backed down, it makes wrestling look like they are backing down. Looking back, he did it right. He just needed a few years for us to realize it.
