  • How old is this video ?

  • God damn I hate you for appearing repeatedly in my search history for unrelated shit.

  • Throughout the 20th Century, Turkey has engaged in premeditated destruction of Armenian churches, monasteries, cemeteries, ancient fortresses, and settlements. Because of the Armenian Genocide (1915-1923), it's difficult to find Armenians, in their historical homeland in the Armenian Highlands (Anatolia). Turks and Kurds now live in homes where Armenians once lived. Perhaps 1,500,000 Armenians were murdered, and It wasn't the first time that Armenians died in mass homicide by Turks..

  • @ArmenianBishop

Dude shut-up, it has nothing to do with ww1.

  • There's been a conspiracy of silence in many World War I Documentaries: Silence of historians who've chosen to forget the Armenian Genocide (1915-1923). The Young Turks were guilty of genocide, the mass-homicide of Armenians. It resulted in the deaths of perhaps 1,500,000 Armenians (including women and children), most of them defenseless and disarmed. Turkey today, continues to perpetrate genocide, with their genocide denial, and widespread destruction of Armenian monuments.

  • They captured Damascus and Jerusalem after centuries of Ottoman rule, modern day crusaders.

  • Opening scenes are The Australian mounted division the best horsemen in the Empire, later along with Desert Mounted Corps, with the Anzac Mounted Division, the Australian Mounted Division, the newly formed Yeomanry Mounted Division and the Imperial Camel Corps Brigade all under command of Australian General Sir Harry Chauvel formed probably the largest mounted body of troops in history.

  • I agree. World war I is a dreadful war that still haunts us to this day. Its a scar that mankind might carry with itself perpetually.

  • turks had 600 years of peace.

  • @Rico8458 I suggest you check out the history books again. The Ottoman empire was laden with a lot of war and massacre, both internal and external.

  • I am shocked; The one front of WWI who's effect is most relevant as of today has no comment about it. Its a sad state to be in when one realizes that a majority of people have forgotten the past. I find true, as it is commonly said that: "Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it."

  • @billybobmacguyver World War 1 is the single most important war of the 20th century. World War 2 (both on the Pacific and European conflicts) had their roots there, so did the cold war, and even the Middle East conflicts we're having today are directly as a result of all the events and aftermath of the war. Yet the thing most people can remember about the war is usually trench warfare and biplane fighters (and even then most just know the Sopwith Camel, the Fokker triplane, and the Red Baron).

  • Despite all its spector, vastness and glory of an ultimate victory for a good cause that enchants the majority of minds to this day, WWII was simply the tying up of the most dangerous loose ends of the first world war. It is because the first world war was not concluded militarily, that the majority of the world had to fight again 20 years latter. My mind debates whether the US should have become involved in WWI, perhaps it would have been better to let Europe fight it out amongst themselves.

  • @billybobmacguyver There was also the small matter of disposing a ruthless dictator and defending the last Democratic nation in Western Europe, Great Britain.
