  • I know this gonna sound real stupid but I actually use this hold in wrestling matches. It is a really good submission and I thank these guys for putting it up. This is another masterpiece added to my collection of submissions.

  • So anyone else think the names for each move sound stupid?? Zombie, chill dog, newyork...just say put ur foot here, leg here, an grab ankle...ta da you did it.

  • @PKRun11 I actually think they help a lot. Each name is a distinct move and helps people remember what to do for each step.

  • @PKRun11

The silly names are on purpose for easy memory. there are 100s of moves, and talking about them is easier when every single position and transition has a name. There are over 50 chokes now. choke #1, #2 etc... does not help. Once you actually start learning jiu-jitsu you realize how important i. t is You can also yell out names at competition, "go-go plata!" is easy to follow. yelling "put your foot there, no i mean the other side" is a fail. hope that helps.

  • Too complicated to pull off in a real fight .. Simple is best! Thanks for posting though, a lot of thought in that one..

  • I feel like doing this to my enemy!!!

  • I Didn't Catch ANY of That

  • awesome technique!

  • @b7r7u7e, check out ninja choke or cobra choke.

  • Someone correct me if im wrong but it seems very easy to tear somones throat with a gogoplata.

  • @physicalgrafiti12345 No more than a guillitoine.. The guillitoine is more of a crank than the gogoplata... If done right The gogoplata is a choke.. if they turn their head thats when it becaomes a crank... and not a very good one at that... in order to do any potential damage to the throat... ud probably havta pull there head sideways..while ure chokin em.. and even then chances are slim to none... cause there head will probably just turn sideways...lol..

  • YES i like ufc. i watched ufc 138 not mma 138. dana white owns ufc not mma. joe rogan commentates at ufc not mma

  • Isn't the #1 rule in jiu jitsu, never to put your hands on the mat..??

  • The problem with this is that anyone who knows how to defend the gogo plata will not just "push down" on the toes, but will curl the toes in creating a very painful foot lock and tap you. You must fight the defending hand off the gogo-foot, not leave it.

  • @amabo187 are u sure thats a legal move? im pretty sure you cant manipulate small joints like fingers and toes.

  • Ok i got it, So is missile control, zombie, new york, clear his edge, child-lock, come here with a kung fu move, rich 'round, hipsters in defense, putting his head on my food, i flare this over, i release, grab on my nipple, and I pull down?

btw love your videos, I always pwn my friends with these submissions, which isn't enough since I'm thinking seriously to start training.

  • Anyone know if face crushers are legal in tournaments?

  • really? too long and complex.. also too loose of a hold and submission.. id love to see this attempted in a match.. also from both legs, not just your one side. makes it too predictable

  • @FnkDctr Gogoplata's are far from predictable my friend.

  • @Lrdvltr This is fucking horrible. Who is going to grab your ankle, AND give you their wrist? this looks like a horrible attempt to an arm bar.

Show me anywhere in the world someone actually used this in a match and IT WORKED.

Of course this isnt predictable.. because its fucking retarded and wont work in a match.

  • @FnkDctr Please don't criticize the demonstration. Nick Diaz Gogoplata'ed Gomi. This is just a variation that opens up an alternate option for a submission.

  • @Lrdvltr it is totally different than this bullshit move.

  • @FnkDctr It was still a Gogoplata.

  • @Lrdvltr yea, it was.. and this move is fuckin garbage. dick ride away fan boy faggot.

  • @FnkDctr Lol, I can see why submissions101 blocks their comments some times. Because of dickheads like yourself.

  • @SASAussie and I can see why dumb fuckin faggots like you suck dick with no mma record. Because you sit on youtube thinking this bullshit actually works in a match.

Faggot aussie down under dick suckin bitch. Not my fault you dont know MMA from faggots. Go back to suckin your dads cock and die aids bitch. Thank you. Pussy.

  • @FnkDctr luk i aint tryin 2 start anything but itz unpredictable in JIU JITSU matches only

  • I'm going to do this to my brother next time we wrestle..

  • did he just say jew-claw???

  • @Calimontcg yes but i think it might be spelled jiu claw as in jiu jitsu

  • @Calimontcg jiu-claw

  • @Calimontcg that's another word for an omoplata

  • @JazzNL94 not quite....its the position that allows you to go for an omoplata as well as other submissions.

  • @Calimontcg

jiu-claw, like jiu-jitsu. also making fun of the borat stunt. jiu-claw is a position you can battle from.

  • Is there a gogoplata arm version? Can you do the same thing with your arm instead? Like if you got an underhook and instead of resting your hand on the shoulder bring your arm acroos so your forearm across his kneck then with your other hand pull his head down. Ive never seen this done and was wondering if it would work. In other words imagine if the guys leg was an arm.

  • @b7r7u7c7e thats just a different kind of choke :P i get what your saying but i dont think its possible like the gogoplata

  • Off Topic: Is anything that hurts the solar plexus illegal in BJJ? Because if you read most BJJ rules it says no pressure points and if you watch The Stake from submissions101 it hurts the solar plexus and also because theres this move i think i created cuz i've never seen it before its when you're from the mount n u put your knee on the opponent's solar plexus and pull his head up. Its so damn simple but i dont see any vids of it. So is pivoting your knee on the solar plexus illegal in BJJ?

  • @ScottjwKelly well from my "expert point of view"" (ha!) these guys just stretched a lot and invented nothing new really. if you want real upgrade to martial skills, get a greco roman wrestling trainer (a good one) good boxing trainer, muay thai and bjj (any will do)

train as hell for 5-6 yrs and there you go. everything else is about your genetics and combat potential.

wanderlei silva is a good example=-shitty technique great combat potential.

  • @ScottjwKelly yeah thats what i dont like. its hadaka jime. it is. you didnt invent it? no naming then.

uhm im not brazilian. why would i speak portuguese? mma defiled a lot in martial arts and using words as reverse back kick. really? no. all the instructors i worked with used japanese terminology or brazilian since they were invented by them.

" washington square hanger with a christian sidebar" these idiots use this kind of terminology and its LOLOLOLOLOLOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • I found out this one on my own when I was practicing my rubber Guard lol, I called it Rubber band guard >.>

  • Coz your chillin there, not chilli dog. Ari has explained the position before along with "Kung Fu move" and "new York". We're

  • It's chill dog c

  • Such badass moves but they have the dumbest names for every positions I swear like please change those disgusting randomass names chili dog? kung fu?

  • @shukaku ITS A BRAZILIAN MOVE SO ITS GOING TO SOUND WIERD AND THE CHILLI DOG ONE IS JUST A RETARDED ONE

  • the problem with this entire sequence is that when you gogo your opponent, they can defend by pushing down & bending your toes/top half of your foot like a wrist lock. it will make the gogo-er tap from bottom every time. you can't let their hand defend for even one second.

  • @amabo187 Question: Do you think this a good technique against a less experienced practitioner, or do you think if he was a jiu-jitsu player how had basic fundamentals in mind, would easily defend such?

  • @joeltsmitty I don't think you'd need to use this technique against a less experienced player. However it gives some insight into how you can use your body against your opponent. I would just defend by bending the toes. If someone defends by bending their toes I battle their wrist and push their arm out. Eddie Bravo's DVD "mastering the rubber guard" is the killer basics you need to master first. I go-go choke people all day. some times it doesn't work, nothing always works ;)

  • Wicked.

  • last week i got an upide down gogplata from an armbar on my mate i went for an armbar from mount but his hand slipped out. i managed to grab it again but hed locked his hands and it was the end of the lesson so i cbf wrenching his arms apart again. so i used his hands to pull up into mount but i left my leg on his head and rotated my hips and ankle then i just shoved his head back, got my shin in his neck and transferred my weight to my front leg :)

  • HELLS GATE HELLS GATE HELLS GATE!!

  • @xXz0ZnKoVXx

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Im now about to use this on my little brother and fuck his shit up!!!

  • this shit does not look fluid at all. basically just a cool name.

  • Can't he just prop himself up, moving his head out of position for it to be grabbed while your trying to put your shin on his throat?

  • @mrostos double bagging ftw

  • Comment removed

  • I need to improve my flexibility before I try this move haha definately not one for beginners

  • @AirWarCrimewave I found out the hard way :| Puts a load of strain on the crossing knee

  • or just buy a gun

  • @tsenkai and be a fag

  • @rasecz333 says the guy of the gay kamasutra

  • @tsenkai gay is buying a gun cuz ur 2 fag to win a fight by ur own

and killing people is illegal if u dont know, psycho

  • @tsenkai

you could buy a gun, but the point is to learn to defend yourself with just yourself, you don't need anything else.

and a gun won't always cut it, depending on the proximity of the situation.

Krav Maga has some sick remedies to disarm your weapon and punish you for pulling it,

and once you're disarmed nothing stops you from being dismembered.

  • Absolutely amazing. Hats off to this. Love it!

  • listen i watch UFC religiously...and i wear UFC apparel but i also train MMA and 10th planet...if they sterotype you so what its what you like...so let em talk all they want cause if they are really ballsy all your gonna hear from them is tap tap tap...lol

  • its just that most guys who wear tapout are wanna bees

  • @spacemanlil I see what youre saying but what do you mean by a wanna be?

  • @kratoslevit what i mean is u always c kids in school wearing tapout and crap and they have no idea how to fight. I wear a bunch of brazilian shirts and shorts and they think im stupid. i guess my point is, if ur gonna wear fight gear make sure its for ur school or from another country so people dont criticize u

  • Is submissions101 brazilian jiu jitsu?

  • @wesleymunoz Short answer: yes. Longer answer: some of their techniques (like this one) are taken from Eddie Bravo's unique style of BJJ, which he calls 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu. They're not conventional BJJ, and their effectiveness is hotly debated, but it's still a form of BJJ.

  • jiu jitsu is beautiful man. where is 10th planet located?

  • @lsimpson515 i used to go to a 10th planet. theyre located in different states. i went to one in california. i didnt take jiu jitsu but it looked like they knew what they were doing

  • this is Eddie Bravo brilliant shit you fucking morons

  • @420CESAR91 lame?, as you get better at bjj, you don't just want to know the "basics" if you want to be better.

  • What about the flying wicked gogoplata?

  • @MrJanniemannieee well that's only for people who can fly hahaha.

  • where did they come up with this "mission control, zombie, chill dog" shit?

  • eddie bravo you dumbass

  • man, SEEING this in competetion live would be sublime, let alone performing it.

  • good choice disabling comments for the newer videos cuz most of the people here have down syndrome

  • Ari, just wondering what would prevent me from circling low to my left side in this situation?? From mission control it looks like my left arm was placed outside of your guard, so the first thing I would do when I felt that shin try to come under my beck would be keep my bodyweight on your leg and circle out into a side control. Maybe I'm missing a step??

  • You guys are great, thank you for taking all the time you do to post these videos. 10th Planet is my favorite kind of jiu jitsu but nobody here teaches it (Buffalo NY), so your videos help me get the edge in grappling.

  • i saw a move simular to this it was calld "the strait jacket"

  • @RichMerchantttt thanks for explaining the wicked part

  • @RichMerchantttt thanks for explaining the wicked part

  • what if u use your knees and wedge between him and the ground to get up?? OWN LOL

  • is 10th planet all about being ridiculously flexible? if you not what do you do in your style??

  • @patrickwise06 jiujitsu is about flexibility JACK-ASS!

  • @patrickwise06 jiujitsu is about flexibility JACK-ASS! 10th planet is Eddie Bravo's school he invented the rubber guard and alot of jujitsu that is great for the cage! he is exceptional!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @axlnfinke thats what i asked!!! im not going to be disrespectful. they're all kinds of styles of brazilian jujistu. i was ASKING can non flexible people benefit. i am this flexible not the point though.

  • @patrickwise06 Sorry bout the first response was a HORRIBLE DAY HAD NO RIGHT TO TTY THAT WAY I HOPE U WILL EXCEPT MY APOLOGY.....again I am srry....10th planet is located in vegas and Cali I am pretty sure....Sensai Bravo travels all over to teach though I know that! Again I am srry....:)

  • wwwwooow

  • I've gotten the normal gogoplata before...and you know what...I think doing anything worse is Overkill at that point...and is "Wicked" an actual term or is it just you guys saying "Yeah this hurts more"?

  • @MarioMasterHBK619 If you watched carefully, this is for when your "normal" gogoplata won't work, because they're defending.

  • what they are talking about? zombies in new york?

  • 2:51: Just grab the arm, straight arm lock... kimura... can move into the jew claw position as well.

  • i really dont like how american practicioners always use their own names for chokes, holds and everything. new york? straight jacket? if u re copying bjj use brazilian terminology. i mean japanese baseball players use american terminology since its american sport why this isnt going the other way around its beyond me..

  • @ookami3380 Would you be mad if these were africans using african terminology? The only reason you are complaining is because its america. And why cant we make up our own names for stuff we have made?

  • @AUgold15 u made nothing so u dont get to make names for anything. second if armenian practices african martial arts ,, his master is bound to make him learn the proper names of techniques he does in african.

there is no "new york choke" its stupid as me calling my sandwich the " the tasty boat that im going to eat"

stop doing that and stick to traditional names if u want to do it. otherwise say that gracies were americans and annex brazil

  • @ookami3380 Its not a new york choke.. It a position in rubber guard called new york. It didnt come from BJJ. And BJJ came from jiu jitsu and your not made that they named it after brazil when its actually from Japan. BAM!!!! Threw you a crazy hypocritical curve ball right in your face huh?

  • @AUgold15 hypocritical curve ball..wow a baseball term..aint u the smartest living being EVAR?! u so CLEVER!!

btw- ju jitsu from japan has hand locks and no ground techniques so no- bjj and jj arent the same so gracies wouldnt use japanese for something which clearly is their invention. its like saying aikido and systema are the same just because of similarity of locks.

yea and "rubber guard"? l-o-l rubber brain...phahahahaaa..

  • @ookami3380 Its ever, not evar.Dony misspell simple words and then call me a "rubber brain" And eddie bravo made 10th planet jiu jitsu with his different guard so in your own meaning he can name it whatever since it isnt the same as brazilian jiu jitsus.

  • @AUgold15 its EVAR if its EPIC just ask ray william johnson ;) and u my friend is the inventor of hot water.

10th planet ju jitsu? np- im going to invent second galaxy judo immediately.

chuck norris invented chun kuk do. i laughed when i heard of it. thats what american m.a. masters do--"create" something , patent it as if it is theirs and then earn a shitload of money.

fkin industry of assholes and fake faces. u can argue with me all day long but im watchin whats goin on for last 26 yrs and..

  • @ookami3380 im sorry not "is" but "are" ;)))))

  • @ookami3380 No.

  • @AUgold15 yes. just say no to drugs. i agree. and to rip off martial arts with stupid names.

i also read up there " a jew claw" phahahahaha :))))) creative no doubt!

thats gotta be some lawyer move..

  • @ookami3380 It's jiu claw actually...

  • @AUgold15 phahahahahahahahahahaha :)!)!)!LL)L))L)))

you guys are fun! jiu claw jew claw phahahaa :D this is hilarious

  • good tips but its easy to escape from that, triangle choke with armbar at the same time its alot more efective

  • damn i need to practice this. rubber guard is a hard one i find, maybe im just not flexible enough.

  • Wow! That's impressive!

  • Jew claw position? AWESOME!

  • Any tips on how to get the ankle/shin under their chin? I keep getting face crushes off of this instead of a choke, it still works but I'd rather get a clean choke instead of just crushing their jaw.

  • @alphabetazulu

Take some yoga classes man...seriously. It will improve your BJJ tremendously...even just rolling or escaping, sweeping, etc.

  • @warpathmma Yoga definitely does help, i'm flexible enough to pull it off but people are so quick at tucking their chin it becomes difficult to fit it in even when you do a proper kung fu move.

  • @alphabetazulu

Also, keep your toes pointed down, like a ballet dancer when she's on "point". So, the top of your foot should be at 180 degrees instead of 90 degrees when you're bringing your foot over and under the chin. Just a suggestion that works for me.

    :)

  • ahah the dummy at the end is like fuck my life

  • That's a great move. Love it!

  • this 10th planet stuff wouldnt work on a Rickson Gracie white belt. stick with the invisible techniques.

  • @ordaboy

Funny you say that. Eddie Bravo (brown belt at the time) made his bones by subbing Royler Gracie (Rickson's brother and also a black belt) at ADCC. So, that "10th Planet stuff" seems to work quite well against Rickson's BJJ.

    :)

  • @warpathmma my friend, there is a VAST difference between Rickson and Roylers jiu jitsu, rickson has a red&black belt for a reason, dig deep into the archives and you will find a video of royler and royce rolling with rickson at the SAME TIME and sure enough he taps them both simutaneously.now a Rickson gracie white belt might slip up,blue belt i doubt it,and anything past that which Rickson has awarded, these fancy moves just wont slide,Ricksons jj is simply too technically sound to be played with.

  • @warpathmma youtube "brandon hetzler" this guy is my teacher here in sac and he was just awarded his black belt from rickson and kron, watch his videos here on youtube and see why he demolished the brown belt division he was in and had no other choice but to be awarded black.after a lesson from rickson you will understand that a black belt from other jj teachers is pretty much an "almost purple belt" under rickson. he doesnt hand em out like candy.

  • @ordaboy

Nice bro! I'm actually moving out to Cali later this year. I'd love to train under Rickson or one of his black belts or even a brown belt, for that matter. Right now I'm training under Robson Moura who is about as technical as they come and a great instructor.

I was in no way intending to bash Rickson or and of the Gracies as I have nothing but the utmost respect for their family and their art.

Thanks again for the suggestion and I'll definitely check out Brandon's videos.

    Thanks!

  • Going to move into hotdog stand, then get Louisiana position, clear the neck for ice chop, then the mexican twist. Awesome!

  • @Kikomonkee

Then I'll Illinois dickslap you, with a Armenian butthole fill, rolled into a German Wall, finished with an Afghan hide and go seek!

  • @evolvedb4u ROFL that is funny as hell and a great come back

you are now my fav dude on youtube!!!!!!!!!!!!

    evolvedb4u = EPIC BADASS

  • @evolvedb4u don't forget the vegan beef eater choke

  • @evolvedb4u lol yay Armenian butthole FTW!

  • @Kikomonkee lolwut

  • @Kikomonkee your going to live in a hotdog stand in louisiana while clearing your neck for ice and hotsauce?

  • @Xwannagod no hes going to go to new york to do kung fu while eating hotdogs made in louisiana

  • @koolman817

clearly you don't watch too much UFC as you would say....its 10 planet technique,

  • @Kikomonkee lmao

  • @Kikomonkee Oh, no! Someone save us, the positions have names! QQ

  • Sweet....not only a gogoplata but an armbar,too.Impressive.

  • lol at how fast that tap was at 1:44.

that shit cant feel to good.

  • @heady13 yeah he's like "i understand you're teaching but finish the move before closing off my airways" lol slow motion choke is still a choke

  • whats up with all the weird names? Zombie? NY? Wtf Eddie Bravo... if anyone is looking for a sick leg lock look up the vaporizer!

  • Thats sick! Grappling is always evolving!

  • Ari, You train under Eddie bravo right? What belt are you?

  • @Brazilianjj

    he's a purple :)

  • I was wondering about the rubber guard, when i got the rubber guard i always lose it becouse my opponent pinches his elbow into my knee (the leg thats on his hip) and from there he goes over my knee to side mount, any help on how to improve my rubber guard ?

  • God i hate the names in 10th planet... I just can't take it seriously...

  • This is really wicked xD

  • undertaker's gogoplata(Hell's Gate)do it more simple

  • @legentarynuro because its fake

  • what kind of choke is this, an air choke or a blood choke?

  • @cartoonsfut both

  • @Unleashed1111123 sweet, thanks!

  • the jew claw?

  • one of my faves... I also got a wicked MCL because of these... and I was fortunate one of my team mates got a wicked ACL that ended his career.

  • By far, my favorite submission, look-wise. It's beautiful.

  • Submissions 101!

You guys are great! Much love!

  • I was dick dancing around on the net with all this MMA, just when I thought I had seen it all. This is by far the most wicked move I've ever seen!

  • I looked this move up because I read an article that stated that Shinya Aoki is the first person to ever successfully execute that move in an MMA match. After viewing it, I believe I see why this might not work most of the time against higher skilled opponents. When you use the forearm to move his neck, he's free to posture up, because he's no longer being held. "Looks" nice though. Thanks for posting it! ^_^

  • who dislikes this?...FAGS

  • This comment thread would appear to be populated 99 per cent of Tapout wearing UFC fans who have as much mat time as as my little sister, and as much skills

  • @TheMachineJamesWade

    True dat, brother.

  • @TheMachineJamesWade This comment made my night. You can easily pick out who actually spends time rolling, and the kids on here who watch spike and try and submit their cats, and all of a sudden they think they can grapple like their a damn gracie decendent

  • @TheMachineJamesWade I am afraid you are right sir. One year in training god damn I love this sport!!! Leave all posers, you aren't welcome

  • @TheMachineJamesWade

I would go out on a limb and say Bravo would clean his gym mats with your separated shoulder. Only saying that because you have no plausible reason to "why" or any "defense" to your comment.

  • @TheMachineJamesWade not all are bro! I study w/Royler Gracie in St.Louisn and @ Grapplers Quest(Renso Gracie)Grandview(Kansas City Suburb)I donot wear Affliction and hardly any Tapout......Don't like the bullshit from other people.....I started wrestling @ 7 yrs old 2x H.S state champ.....All-American UFL(university of Fl @ Miami)So ya I have the matt time caulaflour ears to go with it!Started martial arts @ 8 in Shotokahn and moved to Jujitsu @ 11 so I think I have the MATT TIME!

  • @TheMachineJamesWade whats wrong with wearing tapout?

  • @jethead70 all people who think that they are tough wear tapout

  • @spacemanlil i like it

  • @spacemanlil. Thats gay how everyone says that. if i wear an ACDC shirt does it mean I am a rock wannabe, I actually play guitar. if I wear a tippmann shirt does it mean I am a paintball wannabe, no I play paintball. If I wear tapout does it mean Im a douche, NO I LIKE UFC. Its clothes why the fuck should people be sterotyped by it.

  • @JUSTINTRIPjl You like UFC? Fucking dumbass, IT'S MMA! You just proved that other comment right you wannabe faggot.

  • @KyockLee123 and good job reading it stupid thats why that comma is there to separate a subject not having anything to do with the previous sentence.

  • @JUSTINTRIPjl You're a fanboy bitch, go back to the WWE.

  • @KyockLee123 wtf is wwe?!

  • @JUSTINTRIPjl Dumbass.

  • @TheMachineJamesWade i still wear everlast n addidas built better, last longer i got betteer things to spendmy money on than tap out shirt i wear my bruises and scars with pride not to showoff, but when asked i ran into a door, twice

  • *Notice* The submission that you are seeing applied here is not the Jew-Claw. I've seen this move before about 20 years ago. It was on Nickelodeon. It's actually called the Gogogadget.. first created and administered by Inspector Gadget. The unfortunate victim of the hold was Dr. Claw.. (inventor/creator of the Jew-Claw submission).. Very dangerous choke...

  • between 'new york' and 'kung fu move' is a gap where his posture is not controlled at all, and if they are rolling with resistance and energy then you are never going to keep them down there, if they have any game. This just looks like a very flashy technique with little fundamental pressures to actually work on a resisting opponent. Thoughts?
