Well, you are very close. You're thinking of the song "Love...This Is My Song" by Charles Chaplin. The two songs are very similar, and start out virtually the same. The name of this song is "It Can't Be Wrong" and was featured as the theme song for the movie "Now, Voyager" and also was played in the background in "Mildred Pierce."

You are welcome, and thanks for the compliment! I don't ever recall hearing anyone sing this song. As an added bit of trivia, I heard it playing in the background of Mildred Pierce, when Joan Crawford and Zachary Scott are in front of the fireplace during a romantic scene!
