Debt is debt. It doesn't matter if it's two dollars or 200,000,000 millions dollars. You still don't have any money in your pocket and you still owe to someone. Good thing is that if you owe two dollars, it's much easier to pay.

It's time to get out of ALL debt, add money and save it for rough times.

Chris Wallace seems confused. He's arguing that taxes are what's affecting the deficit and the national debt. Dan Mitchell put it best, deficits are merely a symptom of the problem and the problem is spending. Tax cuts do mean less money being taken in (by force I might add) to be spent by the government. That's like saying we're owed money from those who we choose not to rob. All a deficit is, is spending outpacing tax revenues. Just stop spending so damn much. Now that's a 90s economy.

Chris is very wrong on this. When Reagan cut taxes, federal revenue doubled. The problem was that he wasn't able to get Congress to budge on the rate of increase of domestic spending. Tax cuts absolutely generate more revenue because more businesses hire and more people earn money, and as shown in the Laffer Curve, they move up in the tax brackets.
