(rotor taill)

  • too bad nice plane, hope to see more.

  • BOOM STRIKE!!! outch :(

  • wtf, thats very scary...

  • It looked like it tossed a blade into the tailboom.

  • the ultimate in insanity is believing life is real

  • dude wat caused the crash? i cant tell. it looks like a rotor off another heli flung off and hit tht one.

  • WTF !!!

  • some body shot it with an air rife lol

  • what the heck hapend!!!!! i was at a show once and there was a 3 heli 3d display

2 small helis and one big one in the centre went up and hovered for about 2 seconds, then as they went to fly off the centre larger one looked like it almost exsploded just like that

  • it happened to me that while i was starting to hover my t-rex 450 clone the blade suddenly snapped and hit my shin, i was standing around 4 to 5 meters away. but still got hit by the blade, 3 stitches mate... still lucky... hehehe

  • dont forget the lock tight on the blade shaft that happened to me haha screw got loose blades poped of shot out like a gun

  • Holy christmas!.

  • brrrrrrrrmmmmmmmm crunch bang pop thud!... oops

  • ohhh man que garron ,,,

  • This is the one thing that I will never let happen to my helicopter. Its the only thing that ever honestly scares me about the hobby. Do you know what made the blade come loose? Did the blade break at the root or did the grips seperate?

  • oh crap man that was somehow sad

  • Self-distruction In 20 sec.

  • crash self destruction the heli hated himself but really ubether join the rotor bether to the heli

  • what

  • that machine lost a blade

  • expensive

  • crash my ass! that was more like a mid air mangling.

  • what was that?

  • that's horrible

  • Qué mala suerte... si mi helicóptero acabase así, lloraría...

  • LOL iraq wanted revenge so they shot ur chopper

  • Ain't that a bitch!!! some redneck was drunk while bird hunting again... man I'd hate to replace that chopper. Good luck

  • some of the best 3D flying I have ever seen....that move is called the origami followed by the yardsale technique. I have only seen it performed once, but it starts with creasing your helicopter down the middle then you.......

  • LOL

  • dang. imagine trying to rebuild it

  • is there a full speed version?

  • what the heck happend?!?!?!

  • believe a blade broke off.

  • gute diashow

  • @Silomeio how dumb are you to ask such a shit like that?

  • LMFAO!

  • looks like some sort of head failure or blade grip damage

  • the blades hit each other

  • My theory: I don't think the blades hit each other - this is rather impossible due to the centrifugal force. Check the image 0:18": One blade is just flying away and the remaining one is loosing balance and is smashed down, than it's swinging up again after hitting the lower limit of rotor head inclination. Half a turn later in image 0:19" the rotor head was instantly slowed down and the blade clapped in like a closing Swiss knife - and that was the force destroyed the fuselage

  • what was happened there?

  • must of made him a poor man. better to put that sort of money in somthen else

  • Wow, what a bummer, that was a great looking Heli, Hope you go at it again and share another video :)

  • That is sure to be a loose blade epoxy. in the slowmo, one can see the blade fling out the holder and hits the fuse.

i would always recommend to use atleast composite blades with fuselages. NO WOODEN Blades, throw them away.

  • why in this shit slowmotion...

  • WTF?!

  • hä what was it?

  • Holycow, thats some serious self destruct there. Such a loss for a beautifull machine like that. Sorry man.

  • I think the flybar paddles meshed with the rotor blades.WOW very uncommon. Good luck in the future.

  • dustsmoke your wrong! you have to epoxy the blade grips. These are the plastic pieces on the blades that get wedged together. if you dont glue them down you have problems like this. I havent used woodies in years for this reason. nothing like CF on the head

  • in der schweiz würde man sagen:" dä hets gschnetzlet!!"

  • Comment removed

  • If those are wooden blades, he didnt epoxy the blade grips, or they were epoxied to the covering of the blade itself. This rarely happens when you do your shit right.

  • Except only problem is you don't epoxy blades to grips in RC helicopters. You bolt through the blades to the grips so the blades are free to swing. Shows what you know.

  • He's talking about the plastic reinforcements over the holes on wood blades. Putting epoxy on those is well known. Not doing it can cause a thrown blade, but it looks like something else happened here.

  • nice thats for sure makes the top ten heli crashes

  • auweia sehr schade drum.

  • The blade came loose and hit the tail boom is what it looked like to me. do you know what really happend?

  • If I had to guess based on the high torque boom strike I'd say it was something in the head rather than the blade itself. Maybe a loose feathering shaft or the top side of the grip cracking or the bolt itself. Who knows, never seen one actually break apart like that mid air.

  • I think somebody fired at it....

some rich people are crazy... we never know...

  • Total Chop Suey !!

They're fun when they work right...Sucks when they don't. Sorry to see your bird ended up like that.......

  • 1/4 scale Mast bumpage!

  • Wow, self-ownage. . . :-O

  • now you see it. now you dont

  • was that the Graupner scale body?

  • yes, the original body is graupner A109 but, modified by Me,

Retracts, uper hatch , fin/tail cone, and retracts doors are homemade.

  • the heli lost a blade . could be the head speed to high or faulty blade grip

  • i don't understand why that helicopter exploded...

  • Watch closely. One blade detaches, the heli looses balance and the torque just tears it apart.

  • that goes to show how quickly things can go wrong with this type of thing...

  • yea my 600NSP did the same but slung a link off and not a blade and the head just explodes, it sucks

  • OUCH!!

  • last weekend ,even my brand new pantera 50 ,tail gear pinion broke two teeth ,tail start wagging

i panic and rush to land, hit the land too fast he bounced, main rotor touch the ground and self distroid slicing the tail rotor in halves,

  • I've had a similar crash with my nine eagles coaxial when I was throwing it round much as I could (obvious reasons) I just got the twister 3d storm 4 xmas and it say's in the manual not to exceed 2000 rpm I geuss this is why but I'm tempted to try now.. at a distance.

  • After my hard experience, I now try to make "always" my hoverings by above of my head

  • @verticaljets main rotor hit the tail? :)

  • @BENY881 nine eagles helis are freakin crap i have 2 of them ....crap.

  • does someone have the original vid without the slo motion?

  • Sorry, but I lost all the original material

  • looks like a main rotor failure at 0.18?

    Is that what happened?

  • Yes,the blade grip was broken (material fault). The rotor was to 1400 RPM (normal speed). The complete head was a Hirobo Stork of the 80' possibly with many hours of stress

  • Yes its a pity - looked like such a nice model.I take it an inspection of the head prior to flight would have revealed no problems? I suppose like full size aircraft stress cracks appear and parts should be replaced after so many hours.Sad to see it go down like that :(

  • que mala suerte

  • Sí, pero a Dios gracias no pasó nada peor, teniendo en cuenta que detrás mío habían 200 personas y la pala pasó por arriba de todos ellos y fué a caer a 150 mts.

  • helicopter suicide xd

  • No, is not suicidal !!! it is fucking bad luck.

The blade grip was broken (material fault). The rotor was to 1400 RPM (normal speed). The complete head was a Hirobo Stork of the 80 ' possibly with many hours of fatigue

  • lol

  • WHAT THE FUCK

  • Yes, bad luck for the helicopter and good luck for the 200 people who were watching, nobody were damaged
