I have a Utica Boiler. Its has a Honeywell Thermostats. My problem is the systems says there is not enough water in the boiler. But it is. I have drain the water. Clean the glass that shows the water level. I have push the reset button. I have turn off the switch. The red light still comes on. Meaning low water. What should I do? Please help!
hi misterplumber,im rightnow taking my basic boiler operation course,i dnt have any experience abotu boiler operation before, but its kind a interesting to me thts why, will you pls upload more about boiler?thankyou..
I live in Texas and I am have a question on steam boilers. Base on your experience, what brand do you recommend base on durability and serviceability? Thanks.
Thanks for the quick response. I found out from a Weil Mclain reseller that they can't sell Weil Mclain in Texas unless its over 2 million Btu due to Lo-Nox requirement. Thanks for your time and the awesome videos.
About how long did it take you to do the total install. From removal to heat on? I am about to have a similar system removed and upgraded. I had an older oil fired hot water boiler and changing over to propane. Just wondering the time it should take. Thanks. Love the videos!! Very informative.
I was under the impression that oil and gas combustibles weren't allowed to vent into the same chimney in MA. Or is it that they can't be Y connected to the same flue pipe?
Plus one more thing. There was too much water in the boiler. The boiler was off and cold. I drain the water slow and filled it with clean water.

My plumber is trying to sell me a Utica gas steam boiler (PEG-C). Why do you dislike them.

@Kjohnston16 I think that Burnham is a better built boiler.

Our lungs thank you for replacing that nasty polluting oil boiler with a much cleaner natural gas unit.

@omegma87 You didn't mention if you had oil or gas. I like Burnham and Weil Mclain for steam. Smith is decent also. I am Not a fan of Utica.

Have you ever read the lost art of steam heat, by Dan Holohan? You may find it useful, as I see some preventable issues in your installation.

They cannot Y into the same flue pipe, but can go into the same chimney, it is very common to see this arrangement in MA.
