Excellent tutorial. I have a tutorial for you to make ---- when converting episodes or wanting to combine videos into one (i.e., vacation1.vob vacation2.vob ===> vacation.mp4).

Great video, very informative for me. I am capturing on screen tutorials for my drafting students using CamStudio, but the files are too large for me to email to my school address so I have done a few trial runs to compress from the AVI to the MP4 format. I think using Handbrake is my best best to compress, but still have a quality video to show at school. Any suggestions? Thanks from Pittsburgh, Pa.

Yes, compressing using handbrake will help, but I'd export the files in a lower res (maybe 720 instead of 1080) for screen capture.

actually I'm seeing this gray image on youtube videos and left comments. People told me that they are seeing it too on their screen. So it's my me or my camera. I guess its youtube.

I noticed this problem after I downloaded handbrake: When I upload my videos to youtube I noticed a gray image that covers my video while I'm talking for the first 10 seconds. After 10 seconds it goes back to normal. Therefore, I have to use a intro video from Windows live movie maker in front of my video n order to remove the grayness from my video. Also if my video is 3 mins the grayness will not show on my video. Have any1 experienced this and can help me? Thanks ;)

@LoveYourFaceMakeup you can do but selecting web optimised means this would be covered for playback on different devices.
