  • i hate activists johnnyrocket loser... your alive today because your ancestors hunted and ate meat. there were no supermarkets to buy nuts and berries in as little as 120 years ago. open your mouth and look in the mirror. you have canine teeth. losers. its getting real old. i think a deer or a goose has it worse being eaten alive by a damn coyote

  • Nice video-but a shame about the very innappropriate music, more suited to military exploits than goose shooting out in the countryside-nice set up though.

  • Normally that decoy spread wouldnt work all that great. In that weather, you could have them upside down, fallen over, and painted neon pink. you guys are lucky. Good job

  • @waterfowlfans ??? Bigfoot and ghg decoys are some of the most popular decoys used so I dont understand this comment

  • Nice vid. One more month I will be in Illinois bustn goose ass

  • The goose that lands among all the decoys says "Whats up guys? Why isn't anyone talking to me? LOL

  • Nice footage! What kind of decoys are they?

  • goose hunting has be come one of my favorites, along with deer. i love the extreme hunts, this one looks awesome.

  • How long y'all been going hunting?

  • Vile cowards who shoot innocent creatures for fun! A big ego but lacking elsewhere!

  • @crazyfool1975 shut the hell up you liberal

  • Vile cowards who shoot innocent creatures for fun! A big ego but lacking elsewhere!

  • @crazyfool1975 Theres nothing wrong with hunting as long as you dont waste your kill. God made animals for us to eat, not waste

  • @EEKSPLEE What a load of bollocks!!!!

  • @crazyfool1975 No not really. If you were brought up like this you would think differently

  • @crazyfool1975 Not really. Nothing is going to waste. Things have to die for us to live. Your username is right, you are a crazy fool

  • well very nice share.how can we join you.....plz send details..

  • i really like this video. wish i was there.

  • Where are you guys from? i am from north dakota as well, manvel, and we are hunting a snow covered corn field in the morning just like this video. Hopefully we get some awesome footage too.

  • awesome conditions for goose hunting, the geese won't mess around, they'll just come in and try to land as quick as possible

  • i cant say this is horribly mean cause there are so many of these geese everywhere and people eat them as well so ... well.. heres to a mutual comment. cheers!

  • Sweet Video!! Where in North Dakota were you hunting?

  • braaaahhh! that looks cold!

  • I like how you guys didnt even have to call the birds in your deeks did all the calling lol

  • wow this is a sick video it gets me so pumped for the upcoming season! i can not wait. good video guys

  • This is the very best video and who ever put this song with it new what they were doing this is truely awesome

  • This is a great video! The most fun I ever had hutning canadas was in snow. Keep it up!

  • Awsome video guys! May 11th, and I am already looking forward to goose hunting this fall! Cheers!

  • Great video, please lose the loud music except in the intro. You may love it, but it detracts from your video.

  • It's sickening that you would put music to a tragic video such as this and disgusting that you posted it to YouTube. It's arrogant and heartless. Animals are not "things". The difference between you and me is this: Your gift to the birds is to give them what they fear the most; agony and death. My gift is to protect them, to stave off fear, agony and death through the use of words aligned with my purpose. If I can save only one birds life then my purpose on this planet has been served.

  • @JohnnyRockster13 Fuck you, they need to be thinned out, in canada, if it wasn't against the law, i would get all my buddies together, find their shitathon and spray semi auto shotties. They would still come back the next year in greater numbers. We also need to thin out your tree huggin hippy numbers, if every one becomes like you, then this will be a "shitty" world (pun intended)

  • @minorpayne23 Well, I called that one. Warlord mindset indeed. But I'm not a hippy nor a tree hugger; just an old pilot but still I'm sure you would take a shot at me given the chance! Crikey! No matter how rude you are to me, if you were drowning I'd jump in to save you. That's just me. I've saved falcons, flown thermals with hawks and flown formation with Canadian geese many times. Do you like to fly? I currently fly an ultralight trike. Search YT for Flying Trikes; there's some cool video.

  • @minorpayne23 "thined-out" is always the excuse. LOL.. But seriously, I've got a pair nesting next to our deck. Should I go out there and blast them? LOL again. You seem to be at war with a goose. Why do they bother you so much? They don't bother me. They actually play with our dogs. BTW, they are the only known animal that mate for life. Why not show some respect to world and it's creatures, instead of hating it, and wanting to kill everything?

  • @aspenmogul Ive explained why they bother me so much, they are a protected species in Canada, therefore they are HUGE in number and shit everywhere, mostly on the swimming beach, baseball field and cars. One flock on a field could have 150 of these bastards. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH FUCKING SHIT THAT IS!!

  • @minorpayne23 Well then, can you not see the business opportunity? American golf courses spend millions on manure. Fertilizer companies make millions bagging and selling manure. Why not sell the shit to the Americans? Simply rig a front loader to the front of a golf cart that will scoop it, then get your accounts in place with the ball fields and golf courses, etc. Compost it, bag it, then sell it. You would be rich in 10 years young man. Hell, I'd do it if I weren't already rich.

  • @aspenmogul My girlfreind had to get 8 staples...not stitches, STAPLES in her head after being attacked by a drake for the crime of walking through a city park. The hateful SOB wrapped its wings around her head and "bit and pecked her unmerciful" "I hereby denounce all Canadian Goose hunting. Rather, I propose a genetically engineered virus be created to eradicate the species" in the true spirit of the villains in "Rainbow 6"

  • @Grantrus71 Sorry to hear that, but just like humans, there's always a bad apple. Please understand, that all life is directly connected. Doesn't mean you can't hunt. I'm just saying be more respectful of the life you take. I can tell you that science has already proven origin of life, and that all life is the same. It's too complicated for discussions here, but years from now, actual hunting will only be a historic event as more become exposed (or rather educated) to these harsh facts of life.

  • @JohnnyRockster13 It's too bad that people are things. You didn't say that, I know, I'm sure you agree that animals AND people aren't things but so much of the rest of society thinks that people are. That people are expendable, the whole overpopulation thing. Sick. It is that sickness that needs to be eradicated.

  • They mate for life. They become ecstatic when they see another bird they haven't seen for months. They remember each other. They feel. They love. They care. They're intelligent. ...and they can fly. I fly a trike and have flown beside these magnificent creatures more than once. Having seen the world from their point of view changed mine for the better. I understand how the world works but it still hurts to watch them fall, to think about those whom lost their life mates.

  • @JohnnyRockster13 They mate as long as their mate lives. They mate again. Then don't 'love' 'care'.. blah blah blah. That's human personafication at its finest. I hunt because I can. It's my choice. There always seems to be someone in this world trying to remove peoples freedom to choose. Whether its hunting or some other aspect of lifestyle. You want to save animals? Put your money where your mouth is and save habitat... Hunters have been doing that for years.

  • @jellotree99 I disagree. You're confusing animals with insects. They do "love". They get over it quicker as they live in the moment but DO love. One rehabilitated Canadian proved this by it's reaction with its mate when we released it. There's a lot more to animals than people realize; they just don't seem to care enough to take a serious look. Question: What about those birds that are downrange and take shot but keep flying. After the day's hunt you're warm in your bed while they are suffering.

  • @jellotree99 Regarding ur "choice" to hunt: I'm not trying to remove freedoms; I'm trying to expand awareness that animals' lights are on, they just speak a different language. Hunting isn't "saving" habitat. Habitat was fine until some idiot invented gunpowder and upset the balance. Now it's, "Oh, we've killed too many of these and now there are too many of those. Let's kill those. Oh, now we've killed too many of those and now there are too many of these. Let's kill these again. And on and on.

  • @jellotree99 WORD!!

  • when they land its no game... LAW....

  • Awesome footage!!! Most guys would have hit the snooze button on that morning.. Not you, and not me..

  • im with you on that man, whats a snooze button? haha

  • Yeah, just as we left town that day we had the whole truck and trailer sideways on the highway and I was kinda thinking that maybe it wasn't a good idea. You have to be a little bit crazy to do what we do.

  • @goosebusters My best goose hunting day I have ever had was during a falltime storm. Me and my cousin got stuck in the hills until 3:30am due to flooding. We were guided by someone with chest waders through the flood water with our fourwheeler. I tell ya, riding through flood water is pretty whiteknuckle. We are a hunter of a different breed. Great thing about storm hunting is that geese are moving around like you wouldn't believe they would, they fly slow against the wind, and no other hunters!

  • @goosebusters you guys should never kill the leaders of the pack because if you shoot the leader all the goose are gonna go insane (like split up and stuff)

  • @nimi118 ...

Geese don't have "leaders" -- they rotate through the lead position because that's the most tiring position to fly in, since the lead goose isn't flying in another goose's slipstream.

Also, so what if they split up? They do that on their own -- they'll find another group of geese to fly with.

  • cool

  • damn i love this state

  • Good work guys. I like the set up and the shooting. Its good to see that there are other hardcore waterfowlers out there like myself.

  • Perfect day. Great job guys!

  • i cant wait till i get to use my new gun its a banelli super nova so ya

  • I'm a hunter we just kill and eat not just for fun.Very Good to eat.Only if u know how to cook'em. :)

  • Top Notch! Goose hunting in the snow is simply amazing!

  • i love goose hunting pheasant is also fun to hunt

  • goose hunting is the shit!!

  • Where in North Dakota did you hunt?

  • Comment removed

  • u dumbass obviously you dont understand why hunters hunt. its not bcuz they think they r cool cuz they can kill animals. they hunt 4 conservation reasons, so think b4 u call hunters gay. Without hunters, farmers crops will be eaten and more people will b killed becuz of deer and other game animals that cross over roads. I could give u thousands of reasons y hunting is good, but im running out of character count, so shut the fuck up you stupid liberal faggot.

  • Not to mention how tasty gees are!! :P

  • freecoasterbmxco is a whimp

  • we kill them so the population doesnt get to high u dumb fuck

  • Get an education. First off, "Hillbilly" is a term actually refering to Appalachian residents.(no hills in ND) Second: read up on what hunting is and why people do it. If you have a problem understanding something i would suggest READING up on it before you decide to knock it. You obviously do not understand what waterfowling really means. And if you were looking for a term similar to "hillbilly" its "redneck". Yes our necks are red..from working in the sun, and our collars are blue. Understand?

  • What do you think happens to geese when they get too populated in metro areas? DNR or Fish and Game round them up and slaughter them. Why? because too many geese cause disease, crop damage, and many other problems like shitting all over everything. Trust me! There are plenty of geese. We don't think we're the man...We are the man! Any "man" that doesn't have that hunter/gatherer instinct is more like a woman. You must pee sitting down. Bitch!

  • The one thing that could be said is you guys shot into a lot of the bigger flocks and let the smallar groups land in front of you. If you were wise you would switch that around, good footage though. Looks fun!

  • Very cool video! Good editing too

  • man, this is amazing hunting - never field hunted geese before - only water - great video - must have been fun

  • Fuck goose kiill to genocit.Bastard goose hunters.

  • Huh? What's wrong man? Jealous?

  • I can't read this, is it supposed to be positive or negative?

  • Who knows. "Genocit" what ever that means doesn't sound so good to me.

  • the only response this ignorant, uniformed comment deserves is this...learn how to spell...and please, please, please for the sake of humanity get an education. If you can't do that then at least read a book, its a good start.

  • We have four feet of snow here in NFLD. No geese around now only lots of fat seals on the harbour ice. Been pretty good Eider duck hunting though. Might buy a Mossberg 535 ats for next fall. I love hunting in the snow. This video is TOPS!

  • Do you sea duck hunt at all?

  • Yes. I live on the north east coast of Newfoundland, Canada and we have an abundance of Eiders and Oldsquaws. It's pretty harsh at times because we hide among the rocks along the cliffs and shoot them as snow squalls drive them towards shore. It's a great sport though. Myself and "Skerwinker" are hunting buddies. Cheers:)

  • Wow! Now that sounds like a blast!!!

  • Sorry, I thought I was linked to your question.

  • i like it when ducks and geese put their feet out :-)

  • Great vid! I'm in Ontario Canada and can't wait until September already. ;-)

Going to buy more decoys for this season. I notice a lot ot the new deeks are expensive, but hey, its still cheaper than sport fishing.

  • NIce vid 5 stars!

  • This is my favourite you tube video, bar none!

We Canadians love goose hunting. Do you use hevi-shot or just steel.

    Cheers,

    Skerwinker ;)

  • I have used the hevi-shots before, but mainly we just stick to steel because it is priced better.

  • My 12 year old son and I are green with envy. We love hunting in the snow. Geese are tops!

  • i don't understand why north dakota does let you night hunt everyday....just wednesday and saturday right?

  • They are worried that the increased pressure in the evenings will push birds out of the state. A lot of it has to do with limiting the amount of evening pressure on roosts. They did add Sunday nights for evening hunting, but only after December 3rd or something like that.

  • ah, that makes sense. thanks dude. shoot straight

  • Are you letting some geese land in your spread to use as live decoys?

  • awsome were is this?

  • North Dakota

  • Hello

how mutch money did you pay for allo theese model gooses ??? Here in Germany you pay mostly 10 Euro it s = maybe 15 Dollars for one Goose ...!

  • The decoys cost 25 dollars a piece normally. It is a pretty expensive hobby. Where do you live in Germany?

  • i have never even seen 3 inches of snow in my life also never even seen a duck where i could shoot them leagal i live in az usa

  • I live in texas and we slay the white geese, but not really any big honkers like this. I love these birds... they send chills down my spine. haha

MY lifelong dream has been to be able to hunt like this

  • whats the song

  • omg this is what i want to do soo much best hunting vid ever wish i could have been there

  • Thanks man!

  • whats the song called and who is it by? and great hunting vid.

  • Gasoline by Audioslave.

  • k sweet thanks man

  • Great video guys, keep an eye out for a new video going up in the next month called DirtyBird Inc. there is one up now but not a good one.. were a young hunting group thats grown up together its a pretty sweet video... good luck and keep bangin

  • sweet, I'll pull out my huntn rifle and shoot myself a brase of those pesky geese;)They really are a royal pain in the , well u get it.

  • Hi thanks for the email. There isn't a 25 mile radius around the city off limits to hunting geese. Winnipeg does have a freeway or we call it the perimeter hwy (hwy 100) that goes around the city. You can't hunt within the perimeter hwy but, even that has been opened up to designated areas now. There seems to be more and more Canada Geese moving in and graveyards and golf courses are having a heck of a time with them.

  • Great video guys. I'm from north of you in Winnipeg, Mb. late fall hunting is the best especially when its snowing. Nothing like hunting those Greater Canada geese.

  • I've heard from some people that there is like a 25 mile radius around Winnipeg that is illegal to hunt, but is loaded with geese, and once a year they open it for hunting for one weekend. Is this true?

  • Badass Hunt guys. Looks like you put in the time to make it pay off and it did. Kickass

  • SKYBUSTERS!!!!! I don't shoot them until they start rubbing their ass in my face..

  • Sky busting is shooting them when they're high yet right? I usually have to fly by shoot.

  • haha! Yeah they were a little far still! The thing is they came in high and got over the decoys then dropped straight down. So if you wanted to take them out front you had to shoot at 15 yards instead of 2.

  • Ya I had that happen a couple times to me this past weekend so I guess I'm a skybuster too. But I shot them at 10. Just saying.

  • We have way to many Canadian Geese in Canada- its illegal 2 shoot them.. They are the national bird. They have become a pain in the ass..so shoot as many as u can so that dont come back(lol).

  • Canada's national bird is the Loon. And its not illegal to shoot Canada Geese.... there's a season from Sept 24-Dec 31 in most places. Some places have early and extended seasons.

  • you guys stole minnesota's state bird! lol

  • That was a hell of a hunt!!

  • i've hunted a really cold snowy day i live in wisconsin it was harsh but worth it in the end i gotta tell u that.

  • sweet video!!!!

  • amazing

  • were you guys north or south of grand forks???...cuz we were out that same day

  • Nice NORTHA DAKOTA VIDEO MAN. I'm from Fargo can't wait for the opener. Late season that is.

  • really a good movie. got the whole feel of the trip. awesome

  • Hi I'm french. Really great video....

  • Looks really fun!!!

  • You really think you shot a 15 pound goose!

  • nope, but we shot one at 14 pounds 5 ounces on that hunt.

  • That is still one big goose, There is a hunting website I go to and every year there is a big giveaway to anyone who shoots a 15# goose no one has got it yet.

  • Yeah, that guy out of Washington always puts it on for the dropzones, that's why we always weigh all our geese. I kept showing him pics of the geese we were shooting that were over 14.

  • shan

  • Idiot this is done for meat, u tit, if u buy a chicken or a burger are u being cruel, meat doesnt grow on trees asshole get over it!!

  • except for your insolent choice of words.... i say that i have nothing against hunting for meat....but i think for many hunters it's above all just fun!

    and thats rotten!

  • Its not that we enjoy watching animals die, we do however enjoy the thrill of being out there in hazardous conditions and putting our skills as outdoorsman to the test. As you can see we didn't just go to kill, we took what we needed and watched for 2 hours as birds landed around us. What words did you find to be in bad taste?

  • Ye, mean while back at the ranch, who replies after 3 months???? Again SADDO!!

  • have you ever laid in a field for 3 hours in the rain or in the snow, for 10 minutes of stuff like this video, you,d know we LOVE geese, ducks and outdoors if you did it for one day you`d either love it or consider it hell

  • great video!!!!!!

  • Great video

  • You guys make me drool with envy! I luv this video! We have a lot of eider ducks where I live in Newfoundland, but no doubt about it, the Canada's are king! What size and type of shot do you use. We use a lot of Hevi-Shot here.

  • I use a lot of 2-shot and BB in steel. With Hevi-shot you could easily use 4's at that range.

  • Have you ever used Black Cloud ammo before? Its kinda spendy, I use it as my second shot. It fold them like no other. Its about 22$ a box now.

  • hey jimbo who edited this and put in the music?

  • I'm originally from ND. It's cool to go snow goose hunting. What's the bag limit now (if there is one)? I've seen flocks of like 50,000 fly over me before.

  • In the fall the limit is 20 with no possession limit, in the spring there is no limit for light geese.

  • May 2nd and watching this, its going to be a long summer of with no waterfowl hunting.

  • Still keep checking back for some new snow goose footage but to no avail farming hops in Idaho now will return in october...

  • Probably not going to be much snow goose footage, we didn't have a camera, but did borrow one for one hunt. We'll see.

  • yeah nice i like when u just pop up like yeah theres geese still in the dekes but who cares haha nice vid pimpin

  • Awesome video. Hey whats the song in the background?

  • Gasoline by Audioslave.

  • i like that we always try to geese to land in the dekes
