  • Gr8 version! Cheers for new year 2012!

  • Pretty Coool man

  • Damm, great Dutch band!

  • @Ariehuisje This is Scottish, not Irish.

  • @KrasseOdaVonBayern it's celtic, something some irish still refer to as themselves. irish pubs play this song too.

  • @nahing Inverness is in Scotland...

  • @KrasseOdaVonBayern congratulations. but again, it's a celtic song, not neceserally scottish. So an Irish bar can still play this song. Or do you think the only people to listen to this on new years eve are those from Iverness?

  • @nahing That has nothing to do with my original point, he mentioned 'I am not Irish', I was informing him that this song is Scottish, written by a Scotsman, and has nothing to do with being Irish in any way besides the fact that both Scottish and Irish are Celtic; just because it is played at a location means that it has anything to do with the place. I am German, from Germany, if I play this song in Germany, does it become German? Can I say, I am German, therefore I like this song.

  • @KrasseOdaVonBayern Still Celtic biggest difference tween the two is their whiskey or whisky

  • Wow great!! Makes me headbang. Im not Irish but it brings back memories of celebrating NYE in an Irish pub in Marbella a few years ago. Now THAT's the way to party!!! Drinking dancing and singing all night long.

  • one person obviously has no taste, great song, great band

  • Damn, hear it for the -unsure how often- and had to sleep. But i wont!

  • I am almost 100% certain that Dropkick Murphys do not have a version of Auld Lang Syne out. I have searched the internet for a while looking for it, all I came up with was what people think is DKM but is actually Auld Lang Syne by the German punk band Die Toten Hosen. Their version kicks ass and I guess I can sort of hear the resemblance?

  • @rebelrocker14 There is one, i promise you lad.

It'd have been on limewire until they decided to go away with it.

  • @storyofmylifeband , rebelrocker14 is right. I checked it and its exactly the same version, as the Die Toten Hosen. Some guy was confused and wrote DKM beneath it. The scrum version has the same lyrics as well. Type:

The Real McKenzies for the best rock version of auld lang syne,

    P.S. Ilove this poem/song ;D

  • @lubberink Uh, *yes* they did. They play it at concerts during the Christmas/New Year period. People come here looking for THAT version, and get disappointed, 'cuz you felt like being greedy when it came to hits/views. For which YOU SUCK.

  • People... this is Scrum. You can even see it on the picture.

I saw them They are totally fun. They were at Castlefest this year. Love them.

  • the drokick murphys did a badass version of auld lang syne

  • I can't believe that somebody dont know about this gr8 band. Its awesome.

  • This is from a band called Scrum, you can get the whole album on itunes.

  • Are you serious?

  • well, a friend of mine actually thought the dropkick murphys did a version of auld lange syne, in fact i couldn't fine any version. but some people think this sounds like dkm, well if they think so but the beginning is 100% not dropkick murphy! and the voice as well.

  • They did do a version of Auld Lang Syne. I downloaded 'n illegally burned it to a disk.. that I inadvertently got pissed off at and threw out my car window as I was speeding down the highway at a clearly dangerous speed. I'm trying to find it, too.

  • I wish I could have the sort of new years eve that everyone else has

  • yeah it just sound like =P
