@EquineDreams Andalusians are bred in Spain (also called Pure Spanish Horses), while Lusitanos are bred in Portugal (with Alter Reals, a type of Lusitano only bred at the Portuguese State Stud). Both breeds are closely related.
@EquineDreams Besides the fact pointed out that PSL is bred in Portugal and PRE is bred in Spain, normaly Lusitanos are lighter (weigth speaking), with less horsehair, smaller, with higher and refined legs, tend to have more roman nose shaped heads than Andalusians, have a shorter back and are more versatile.
the spanish where forced with the lippinazers race to make them all white they lost alot of their real stenght because of that because of austrian and other royal pressures, thats the main reason why lusitan horses separeted
nice music, nice horse, but in my opinion not stallion material, motion very choppy and low.. and i would get a new videographer..it will do him much more justice. nice head carriage though. ~
Beautiful horse and nice video :) Could you please tell his height, location and whether or not he's been tested for black? Homo/heterozygous? I'd love more information...
I always use music which will fit best with the video, with the steps of the horse.
don't forget that in the early days the studbook of the Lusitano horse and the spanish horse were the same. So a lot of Lusitano's and Spanish horses have the same grand grandparents
i'm in ireland now but is so good to go to portugal to ride my lusitan horses specially my thunder he is a stallion and how he is really good in dressage, this one is gorgeous!!
I used this music because i could not find portuguese music which would match with the video and the steps of the horse. This is always very difficult. But i like portuguese music very much
@MarthaMyDear64 It's spanish. "Luna tu sabes el secreto de la eternidad." Sounds italian because he's italian, but it's the spanish version. Cavalo espectacular.
