I find the title of this somewhat ironic, as most of characters in LoTR are not men, however the song is still appropriate. The hobbits are scared and clueless at the beginning (with good reason) but by the end, they find their courage.

I agree, Frodo's a lot better in the books. But Sam's the best in both the book and the movie. No contest. :)
