Trust me, most Chinese don't what what "Tibet" is. You know what, the pronouncation of "Tibet" is too far away from what Chinese called Xizang, which is called Tibet by English speaking people. As for the flag, the first time I saw it is when the ugly guy tried to steal the torch from a handicapped girl, a torch bearer, in Paris, 2008. Trust me, most Chinese have no idea what the flag is. Those people already know what the deal is but they can't do anything about it because they have become complacent with the way thing have been. They spoke English so that this protest could be understood by a global community who can do more with the information to put pressure on the Chinese government. If they spoke Chinese than the people who can make a difference won't understand them. Make sense yet?
