I love 'Hurts' they're such a great band, especially for this generation. When I first saw them, Wonderful Life video I thought they were an old band from back in the 80's and being an 80's girl and loving the era of music, I just fell in love with them. I adore the lead singer, he is gorgeous. I learn weeks later, they're a fairly new band and this make them more amazing. I love this song but I have to be honest I do not get the video. Who wants to see a random lady shave her leg?....lol

This and WL videos are their best ones forever - I love every single moment of them, this leg and the face like from the great old films of the great old masters, the shadows on their chickbones. And what I like the most is such comments like 'what a crap, cant understand this' - I do love them weird, vague, obscure, too theatrical, too cinematic - I fall in love with HURTS because they are not simply understandable (well safe for some of their lyrics though)

No, saying "I never let you down" is past tense. If he was still in love with her, he would say "I'll (I will) never let you down." So "I never let you down" is basically saying "When I loved you, I didn't let you down." That's why he's saying "Blood, tears, and gold won't make it any better." Because she told him she didn't love him, and he's saying that anything they do won't bring them back in love.

Basically they broke up and he's looking back. Hope this helps :3
