The reason why music like this isn't made today is due to artists being more inclined to sell music that is more visually pleasing as opposed to audibly pleasing. Boyz II Men sold emotions, where as typical artists today want to sell fantasies; they make you indulge in the high life for those 3-4 minutes during their songs; the lavish lifestyle, the money, the fame. Fantasies are easily forgotten but emotions aren’t. That is why their music will live on but today's music is instantly forgotten.

Very tune but the difference is we like the old stuff our parents love and their parents too, to stuff up to the mid 90s. All music has gone down hill since the late 90s. Dance music up to the early 00s was great but now it's soulless which you can say the same for RnB. Shame really. At least you can get a good vibe in a club hearing the old stuff.

@SupremeAp Nah you missed the boat. That music sounded similar because it was part of a seperate GENRE and movement - New Jack Swing. Itself was trying to create a different sound from it's parents (hard core hip hop & softer R&B) Street soul (Mary J/Brandy etc) and commercial hip hop (Jay Z etc) were the children. But they lost the thing which made the movement vibrant - diversity (Everyone had something different apart from the crap ones, even the crap ones). Today everyone conforms.
