ey thnx for the tutorial man! This is a realli stupid question... but I can't seem to delete slices for some reason. I use the mute button as the videos said, but I still can't cut out parts of a song. Can't use the delete button, can't use the cut (ctrl +x) so i resort to cropping the loop. Can u help me?
PROBLEM! i have a drup loop without kick at 128bpm. When opened with recycle, at the Original tempo its 32bpm.... This piss me off badly! and if y change it to 126 and imported in dr rex , its way to faster! why recylce did not find the orginal tempo? i'm stuck..don't now what to do.. help? :(
I made my loop using audacity then i took it into recycle everything went well but when i played it back in the rex player at the end of the loop there's this stutter effect that i didn't put on and it's pissing me off!!!! can someone help me.
@RomeoProductionz yeh i hate recycle also, and im beggining to dislike Reason too for the little things it does wrong like pops and clicks during heavy automation or when automating devices to turn off and on, also am hating the fact that the music program is not self sufficient and badly lacks vocal and sample editing abilities ! i may jump ship to logik or cubase 5 !
@TERRAH1 Have you looked into Record? Its like the half of Reason that's been missing all these years. So far, the only thing that I really can't stand is the lack of VST support, but there's workarounds for that, and, frankly, you can't beat the price for the pair (I don't think... I haven't compared all the DAW programs).
@devilsreject5: Well, frankly, its a huge pain in the ass! I try to do without VSTs as much as possible because of that, although I will say that if you already had a huge library of VSTs or certain ones that you were really attached to it might be better to go with Logic or Ableton or something.
@DJBuglip To Continue: That said, there are a couple of ways to address the issue. The one that I typically use is to work with a separate audio editor (there's a bunch of freeware stuff out there, I use Audacity a lot) that will allow the use of a VST, export the part you want to work with from Reason or Record as a .wav file, manipulate it inside the audio editor, then import the altered file back into the Propellerhead app. Like I said, pain in the ass.
@DJBuglip Still more: The other alternative is to use a rewire-compatible app, and rewire Reason in as a midi channel into the host program. I do that with Cubase sometimes, if, for example, I'm working with a VST instrument that I couldn't easily emulate in Reason. However, Cubase isn't free, so you'd need to do some Googling to see if there is a rewire-compatible freeware app out there. I love the interface and ease-of-use with the Propellerheads software, but no VST really sucks!
@DJBuglip Iv already got Reason and Record & Pro Tools so i can just rewire but i thought u had work out some way of using VSTs with in the program itself or something, so i was just interested how!!
I have the same problem akaimpd24. I've try all the things, stretch at 100%, increase sensitivity, put slices manually, and when I change the tempo, I can't get a decent loop. It stop in every slice and sound bad.
I'm not trying to chop drum loops, maybe that's the reason i cant get a decent sound. drum loops have the frequencies much clear.
Maksacre and reedeema, go to the top of the recycle window to the left of the stop button and click the button that says "Toggle Preview Play on/off", that should do it
it doesnt work. i converted a song i wanted to sample in wave and then i wanted to change the tempo to 90 bmp (for hip hop) but the box where you can change the tempo is gray. what did i made wrong ? please help me
recycle sucks.. i dunno why reason couldnt have just put the damn thing within reason.. cuz when you fuck up you gotta go back and fourth opening up programs and its fukin annoying as fuck.. not even fruity loops is that gay
Does anyone know how to change the BPM of a loop without it sounding awful!!?? I've just been trying to change a 96bpm loop down to 90bpm, I've adjusted to sensitivity slider to around 86 and turned stretch all the way to 100%. It always sounds 'jittery'. When I try to play the chopped sample through Rex Player it still sounds the same. Help!!!!
