About 3 years ago White Dwarf used to be awesome... now its just a big catalogue =/ 50+ pages of pure advertizing.

Totally agree. And I would add: 10/15 years ago WD used to be really awesome.

I really miss all those articles on making terrain using cardboard, toothpicks and imagination. Nowadays it´s just about putting some plastic terrain pieces together. And then they try to make it look cool like: Hey, look at what the "terrain master" did. And he just used four Aquila shrines, two imperial sectors and one fortress of redemption ... and a half.

I still buy it though. Dammit.

Magazines can be great inspiration.. and sometimes worth buying just because of one picture.. like the last 'FlyPast' I bought, which has a small picture of a Saab Safir in it, in an odd looking Swedish Air Force livery.. from my old Fighter Wing.. so now I just have to build one.. :)

You should try privateer press's mag. "No Quarter" i love that, but then again its about Warmachine and Hordes... but its nice!

yeah, WD did the same thing to me...they really don't seem to care whether you subscribe or not...when I called, they just said "Well, the last number of your sub is on the label" Oh! yeah the label is the first part of the mag I read! :( I did re-sub, but it takes them 3 mos. to get you back on....too expensive a mag..but...I'm hooked....at least until my hobby resources completly dry up....Jim.
