  • Hahaha I remember this commercial now...

  • Slappin' da' bass!

  • Paul Rudd has more personality in this commercial than in all his movies put together.

  • holy crap i remember this commercial!!!!

  • I bet he was high during the filming

  • Wait a minute... How old is Paul Rudd?

  • I remember this commercial. Weird the things you remember.

  • I remember being completley blown away at the graphics when this came out.

  • shame nintendos last great console was back in the early 90's

  • I still have my SNES stored away upstairs in my bedroom. It's such an awesome system with an excellent library of games to choose from! Some great titles that come to mind are: Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy VI (III in the US).

  • I remember getting my

super nintendo in this gigantic package

and I screamed cause I was so happy.

  • Lol....

  • is it me, or did that voice sound like Tony Jay? If you dont know, he voiced the Elder God In Legacy of Kain; Soul Reaver 1, 2 and Defiance...hmmm

  • @Solidus0508 I do believe that was him. my generation and I remember him from "Reboot."

  • @Solidus0508 Definitely the great Tony Jay.

  • slapping da bass!!!!!

  • Ah Tony Jay, best voiceover guy evAr!

  • Paul Rudd + Tony Jay's Voice + Super Nintendo = Best Commercial Ever

  • I love Paul Rudd lol. I've seen I Love You, Man 12 times and I've seen him at Rush concerts two times.

  • the narrator died a couple years ago, i forget his name but he voiced almost everything in the 80s and 90s

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight I thought that sounded like him. Tony Jay is probably the one you're thinking of. He voiced Megabyte in the Reboot television series and Mortanius/Elder God in the Legacy of Kain video games, among many other stuff. It's unfortunate that he passed away :(

  • @VofEscaflowne agreed!

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight Rudd was very young

  • @OmniTriforce3

I swear he doesn't age, like at all

  • @Killer22Queen Thats weird, it seems like a lot of actors and actresses look good for their ages.

  • @OmniTriforce3

I know, right? Wonder what his secret is...maybe it's being just really really funny

  • @Killer22Queen yeah, i guess actors apply make up to look younger

  • I can't imagine how bad the SNES would look on that big of a screen.

  • @SuperDuperCrazyDude you made a typo there

    you meant to say "good"

  • @Atma505 Nope, I meant to say bad. It would horrendously stretch the image (Which is only 4:3 to begin with) To horrible proportions. It would magnify each pixel about 10 times.

    I love meh SNES but...Yuck.

  • @SuperDuperCrazyDude I've never seen anything as delicious as the colorful pixels of EarthBound blown up and filling a 52" screen

I grew up playing Super Mario Bros. and Nintendo miscellanea every day, I guess it's just a cool and natural look to me.

  • @Atma505 Almost as fun as playing F-Zero on that same screen and giving everyone in the room motion sickness. Hell to the yes!

  • @SuperDuperCrazyDude

I played one on a smart board and it looked great.

  • @SuperDuperCrazyDude it'd still be more fun than any Microsoft or Sony console.

  • @SloganYams Didn't say it wouldn't be more fun, It likely would be. Just saying that it'd be a lot of work to EVEN TRY TO GET a 480i signal out of it, With a TV THAT big the signal would be have to be stretched AT LEAST 25 times to fit it, Even the upscaling wouldn't help that much. Actually, That's a projector so as far as upscaling goes, it probably doesn't have any. The SNES still rocks shit and if the games were being emulated on a PC they'd look fine.

  • It's hard to watch this without immediately thinking of the Paul Rudd-Seth Rogen scene "You Know How I Know You're Gay?" I know they weren't playing a Super Nintendo at the time, but it's the principle man, it's the principle!

  • This still happens every time Paul Rudd plays Nintendo.

  • I got my very first glimpse at "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" in this commercial.
