Much as I would love to pull out of the EU, I don't think that this time is right. We should wait for ten years until it gets so unpopular that everyone wants to leave, then we hold a referendum, setting a precedent for other countries. Otherwise we might have to abide by many of the EU trading standards when trading with EU countries but have no say in how they are made. But I cannot wait for the day when the EU is consigned to the dustbin of History.

Then we can pull it apart simply by holding a referendum. Don't get me wrong, I hate the EU too and what it is doing to all the member states. Certainly in the UK the people have woken up to it and it would be nice to get out now, but I think financially it would be slightly cheaper to wait, say until 2016 or 2017.

Quite. When it was voted for in the referendum a few decades back, it was for the EC. That was purely economic, without the frills of the ECHR and the laws passed which do not govern anything economically.

May I ask what you would expect Mrs Thatcher to do in those circumstances? Perhaps to just sit back and let us be walked over by a South American banana republic? ANd please outline the "war crimes" which she benefitted from? The incarceration of the civilian inhabitants of Goose green in subhuman conditions and the regular ransacking of houses, and the deportation of civilians by Argentina. Or perhaps the fact that many PoWs were treated better by us than by their own officer?

@anarchosolar what war crimes did the british army commit in the falklands??? oh i know it was when they treated the wounds of the argentinian conscripts who had been shot by their own officers to stop them running away, how dare we that is such a brutal war crime!!! or was it when we let the argentinian prisoners eat the food that their officers had stored in warehouses and not given to the troops on the frontline, what a beastly war crime we commited again.

It's not our fault that you fill your ships with conscripts. We didn't put them there. We defend our people and our territory against all invaders, willing or not. General Belgrano was a legitimite act of war in order to safeguard our won task force and ensure the liberation of 2000 of our fellow citizens who were being oppressed by an evil foreign dictatorship.

@malvinas2072forever Wrong. Brazil and Uruguay and Chile will NOT enter a war on Argentina's side against Great Britain. If you want to fight Britain again, go ahead. South American governments do give your country official diplomatic support, but they will not send troops to fight alongside you. It's YOUR issue w/ Great Britain, one which you have no weight on, because history clearly shows legal and rightful ownership of the islands by Great Britain.
