  • Why in all the American movies the Russian character called Ivan? I also called Ivan and I'm not Russian >.<;

  • yea..i agree..very bad acting ,obviously.....still better than sitting in a dentists chair.....lol

  • i love this movie but i want this version on dvd :((

  • "US version, very rare"...unless you buy the easy to get US version on DVD that is.

  • watch'n this in 2012!!!

  • US version? how many version are there?

  • could anyone explain the beeping at 2:32?? lol

  • Acting is really bad in this movie, but it is still a great cult classic.

  • 3:40 .. i wont join.. your FORganization

  • これはもしやシンデレラストーリーなのでは。20年ぶりに再会

  • Funny, but in my version I have from 4:53 till 5 seconds later a short clip of music introduced in this scene that isn't in this U.S version which is only screaming uuuuh....aahhh. And I suspect it to be ripped from Mad Max, just 5 seconds.

If anyone else can comfirmed the same.

  • "This'll solve NOTHIN'!" - What a badass!

  • What's up with the moron in the background rolling his eyes, he's an adult supposedly lol.

  • I remember watching this in Biology class in high school. The rope pull at 8:22 still makes hilariously little sense.

  • "jason .. WHAT ARE U DOIN?" XD

  • People might say that it's cheesy, and no matter how I try to deny it, this is actually a really good movie.

  • @BandofSorensons

It is cheesy and silly but its one of those movies you gotta love :)

  • Oh Seattle of the mid 80's to early 90's. How I miss thee. There was practically no traffic back then. That is how I remember our freeways very well.

  • I REMEMBER THIS MOVIE! OMG! I was like 5 years old or something. This was the first movie that my dad bought when we came to this country LMAO!!!

  • i remember when i watched the movie for the first time..i didnt kno english at all....XD

  • when i was a child i would always play this and rewind it over and over to mimic jasons work outs.

  • today there was a show in town from a local

MA club, where they they showed off the same moves as they practise here. And the first thing that popped to mind was :one step sensei lol

  • 4:54 I Love It!!!

  • It's so bad that its one of my favorite films

  • This movie is underrated, it was ahead of its time.

  • @DEATHM4SK The fight choreography was ahead of it's time... but everything else? LOL... very much stuck in it's time!

  • @sirlordwhitman agreed but this movie is epic, if you love 80's movies , if not well your just like the other million people who can't give movies like this and shows like 21 jump street the respect it deserves.

  • US VERSION??

    There is another version

  • This is also the first time saw van damme

  • This used to be one of my favorites when I was a kid

  • WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 08:52 Michael Jackson :D

  • I grew up with this movie inspiring to me and never have i seen this on video please someone let me know how to find it Its my favorite, and part2 thanks for the help!

  • @MrThunderfoot36

This video is available on video, however I found it at Goodwill in 2004 when I worked there. The movie is not copy-protected. If you can find a copy to borrow from somewhere, you should be able to record it.

  • @MrThunderfoot36

i just looked on amazon (the us site (".com" NOT ".ca") and they have some used copies (DVD) there for under $7.00, however since it is from a another seller you will probably have to pay shipping. This will depend on where you live. You want to go to the american site because the minimum cost on the canadian site is a used copy for $20.00. (Some idiot is trying to sell the movie for more the $150.00! -- They can keep it)

  • In Monaco Forever, JC plays a gay karate expert, cant get much worse than that. dont know much about the plot though

  • I just realize something. I don;t know if anyone has picked this up, because I haven't read the comments, but when Jason was unloading into the garage, the music...if I didn't know any better, I would've thought that was the Axel F. song from Beverly Hills Cop! Hmm...

  • @ghost7524 they do sound alike

  • One of the funniest actors in this movie is Tim Baker. I respect him as a karateka, but as an actor..he's funny as hell!!!

    "Jason...What..are YOU DOING?". that PAUSE..*ROFL*

  • Van Damme should have sticked to playing bad guys ...

He scared the hell out of me as a kid in this one !

  • gotta love how one of the goons shows up in his Gi.

  • @robocoastie YEP!..LOL

  • Ugh I love this movie I got the video cassette lmao

  • @26SimD

    Lol me too. :)

  • I haven't seen this in years. I never knew it was this horrible.

  • WOW! i remember this movie :) I LOVED IT! As a kid in like 87-88! Its amazing how Bruce Lee changed filming making in martial arts in the early 70's! Paving the way for Norris,Jackie Chan,Van Damme, Seagal. He was really something! This movie is another piece of his impact :) Good movie! Better than the fake string attached m.a. movies today! We need to go back to punch and kicks on the ground in believable reality ! :)

  • 3 people surrendered!

  • Terrible acticng but a great film none-the-less. I remember this gem from my childhood.

  • A lot of the cheesy BG music seems to be missing. I love that music :D

  • Van Damme killed his leg hahahaha 4:53

  • fk i miss this movie thanx ;)

  • I've never seen the entire US version before, but the music that starts at 7:37 reminds me of Double Dragon, I couldn't imagine a better childhood than Van Damme movies and old school beat 'em up games:D I didn't grow up to be violent though:D

  • When i was a kid i used to watch it everyday all the time! i love it

  • 1980's karate movies lol (love em)

  • @ilovecalisunset you so right we need more movies like this today ...todays movies most of them are nothing but crap ..

In 5:24 it sounds like he's screaming SIEG HEIL, SIEG HEIL, SIEG HEILLLL!

Is he nazi or american? xD

  • @mackroh LOOOOOOOOOOL REALLY XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I just heard it right now when I saw your comment. I like critics and interesting points like that. People can make so sad scenes funny sometimes :DD

  • Great movie.....................

  • my god! i remember the times then...i went to the BATTLE AT ATLANTA . winning all my fights and forms competitions and getting a chance to meet PETER CUNNINGHAM,BILL WALLACE,JOE CORLEY,BENNY"THE JET"..jus to name a few..:) man i sure miss those days.

  • god the main good guy looks the spit of brandon lee

  • What is that ball called that was hanging from the garage ceiling?

  • @jaylyn3 its called a boxing/speedball. More specifically; a "floor to ceiling" speedball which is meant to be tied to both the floor and ceiling by elastic rope (they're doing it wrong in the video). You punch and dodge the ball as it comes back and fourth.

Pretty useless IMO, nothing beats training with a real opponent or a hanging punchbag.

  • Good job Jean Claude! 4:53. I love his jumping wheel kick.

  • Van Damme kick at 4:52 is epic!!!....i love that one.......he used to be very good in his prime...

  • JCVD rules in this movie

    this was his great hit

  • this movie gave jean claude van damme his start in the movies and catapulted him to being one of the best action stars in the 1990's

  • ok i demand to know who you are! you my friend! rock! what great memories this brings back. my friends and I saw this movie and we were and still are huge bruce lee fans, we all went outside to copy the moves we saw, we all thought we were martial arts hotshots. our parents just thought we were all crazy.

thank you so much my friend, blessed be

  • hey what did you use to upload this? I tried using roxio vhs to dvd but it didn't come out right. Could you help me out? I have this version. I don't like the dvd because they added extra scenes and different music. So could you please let me know what I can use? Thanks.

  • good movie

  • The acting is fucking awful..

  • one of the few good Karate films

  • There are two versions.. I grew up watching this one. its a classic. i got it on vhs. might need to order the dvd version...if u watch the other version. u can tell the differnence..

  • @destryallanbell VHS was the best version. The DVD sucked as it had a different title card and loads of extra scenes (non fighting) that made the film way too longer. It also deleted the "Kelly Date" sequence.

Keep the VHS and see if you transfer it to PC.

  • Lol this movies to funny

  • omg this film reminds me of childhood

  • I was 16 when this movie came out classic. Thanks for posting it.

  • rofl @2:00 always cracks me up

  • Man, such good memories... I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid.. Thanks alot!!

  • 5:17 In that pose, Van Damme reminds me to Sub Zero in the MK3 Vs Screen xD!!!

  • Awesome, I never seen this movie. Thanks alot!

  • I love the music and better dialogue in this version, it's just sad there's so much more cool fighting stuff in the other edit, with Van Damme really beating the crap out of the hero in the end fight, before the turnaround. Knee to the stomache as he's lying down, so evil. :.)

  • The original version is a lot better.

  • thank u so much,,,,r u burmese?

  • OMG I remember watching this and then after watching it I went to my older brother and I kicked his butt for the first time lol.

  • Could someone please tell me what's the name of the music being played @ 5:58 secs and by whom?

  • 7:40 did that rip that music off from Beverly Hills Cop?

  • damn the dialogues are so corny one could die listening

  • this boy: the hero of this movie looks a lot like brandon lee the son of bruce lee

  • its funny how they are just talking while that guy is knocked out

  • This isn't Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do, it's Karate!

  • HA HA LMAO "JASON...JASON! *whimper* I think my legs broke! :(......ah ha LMAO Fool did you not learn anything from the 80's? Eddie Murphy and I quote from Trading Places: I'm a Karate man!...and Karate mans bleed on the inside!

  • afro ninja

  • The music playing when Jason is getting the gear for the garage could be called 'Axel F. B-side". :-)

  • haha or a Double Dragon NES song lol

  • Dude with the beard, his kicking combinations are FUCKIN SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome choreography!!!!! RIP Bruce!!!!

  • 4:54 holy shit!! imagine if he had of connected him with that kick, he would have been fucked up! o_O
