lol It must be an African Grey thing; my grey loves to chase my cats and she laughs the whole time she is doing it. BTW the cats are terrified of her.
Thank you for responding. I also wanted other people who have a parrot and a cat to be extremely vigilent by not letting them interact. Most cats are not like yours. Still just be extra viligent yourself. I take it the Grey is alive, well and safe,
Hi wizard298, If the cat playfully nipped at the parrot,or swiped at him, well it would be FATAL for the parrot. I am not trying to be mean or even preachy.
I just want you to be aware of the DANGER, ! The parrot is still alive, right? Well,I hope he is safe. Is he? Your Grey is obediant, sweet, and NAIVE. The parrot doesn't know about the danger, but now you do.
he would never harm anyone. Let alone a bird; beleive it or not he don't even hunt after wild game outside when he goes outside. We had a mouse in the house run right past him and all he did was look at it as it ran past him; he is very docile and would never harm anyone.
Cats carry the bacteria pasteurella... its deadly to birds. Your parrot wont live very long if they interact quite often. A nip or a little saliva of the cat can prove fatal. Many parrot owners that own cats too seem a little uneducated these days.
A long time ago, there was a video on "Funniest Home Video's" of a Macaw chasing a cat all over the house. That cat wanted noting but to get away from it!
hahahahahah 5 stars !
