i love dark and brooding matt's take on the song is. this seems to embody the latter film's plunge - you know, when micheal finally takes up vito's business. its like you get this idea that micheal tries so hard to emulate his father's way of doing things but fails to love like vito loved. its almost like mike is singing the song - he uses the same words but cant sing it like his father did.
