I don't watch FOX but this "study" is crap, not that FOX viewers are idiots, cuz they are, but to say the stimulus created jobs is merely a matter of perspective, as for healthcare reform - be more specific, what "healthcare reform" are we talking about? - Obamacare, you can't tell me with a straight face that it won't increase the deficit. I love to watch CNN because it's more balanced. The truth is though that you need to watch all viewpoints to get the full picture. Fox News SUCKS but I do sense a bias on the reporting here when the woman gets excited when the study announced MSNBC has the most accurate reporting.

Lets say, hypothetically, that some of the ridiculous claims this study makes are true. They are all things that conservatives would believe. It did not address any liberal myths. It did not address the liberal myth that the wealthy don't pay their fair share. It also did not address the myth that the Bush tax cuts went mostly to the rich. These are common liberal misconceptions.

My problem with this study is that it presents unproven liberal opinions as objective facts. By most measures, the stimulus did kill jobs. As soon as I saw that this study was presenting that the stimulus created jobs as fact, I knew it was a totally worthless study.
Outside of the study, the rant that the two hosts had at the end. MSNBC does not give both sides. There is so much misinformation on MSNBC, it is countless.

Even if that was correct. The study only exams things conservatives believe. It didn't ask questions about common liberal myths like "the rich do not pay their fair share in taxes", or the "Bush Tax Cuts did not help the economy".

It was my understanding that they were suppose to be a major job creator and pay for itself, but Bush posted the worst job numbers of any POTUS in history with only 1.95 million jobs created. To put it in perspective Clinton's record was 22.7 million jobs in the same amount of time with higher taxes. Even Bush's dad did 2.6 million in one term before getting the boot. Not to mention it helped to create a deficit and added to the debt!

Bush's tax cuts were enacted in 2003. From 2003-2007, the economy added 8 million jobs. That is very strong

Obama's spending accounts for $140 billion (4%)of the 3.5 trillion dollar deficit that year.

And those tax cuts got us out of a recession and sparked growth in the economy, paying for a large portion of them. Plus the Republicans left Democrats with a deficit of $151 Billion. Democrats took that small deficit and turned it into a deficit of 1.3 Trillion in 2009!!!

9.) There is no objective evidence that the economy is getting better. In fact, it should be much better. The stimulus hurt job growth. Of course we would see some job growth this year, but it should be much faster.

7.) Income Taxes are scheduled to go up. Read the Health Care Bill, it includes new medicare taxes on income. This is an increase in income taxes.
8.) The stimulus was NOT 1/3 tax cuts. It was 1/3 tax CREDITS. They are very different things. Credits are handouts. Basically welfare disguised as a tax cut. A tax cut would involve paying a lower rate of taxation to the government.

1.) The stimulus did LOSE jobs, the unemployment rate is still higher than Obama said it would be WITHOUT the Stimulus
2.) Health Care reform WILL increase the deficit. The CBO report has numerous flaws. It assumes that there will be no Doc Fix. It also assumes that the government will actually cut medicare. It has been debunked.
and then count that as savings? Raising taxes to fund a program isn't "savings". No government program ever created a "savings:. The other point. why is assumed that income tax revenue remains constant. it doesn't. so when there is a short fall, another "deficeit" created. Or a tax increase.
Stimulus money was not lent to create business. It coverered losses. So where would the jobs be. Bernacke just said Unemployment would contiunue to be worse for the 5 years. The health care bill does not reduce the deficiet. the logic used is that by "creating revenue" through taxation is reducing a deficeit. two points. So higher tax rates is good for who? The climate changes every day; of course EVERYONE would believe the climate is changing. Regarding the health reform law, there financial experts on both sides that say the reform will cause the deficit to increase and those who say it will decrease. Aren't there people all over the internet that are advocates for the truth who can hack into FOX news and broadcast something like this, which would expose the lies to the people who actually watch FOX?
The conclusion is inescapable. Fox News is deliberately misinforming its viewers and it is doing so for a reason. Every issue above is one in which the Republican Party had a vested interest.
The GOP benefited from the ignorance that Fox News helped to proliferate. The results were apparent in the election last month as -'voters based their decisions on demonstrably false information fed to them by Fox News'-.

In life I have noticed when I am doing something others disagree with they attack, and rarely do they offer FACTS to debate their position. "Climate Change" to most conservatives is a man-made term for alleged man-made conditions. If asked if the Earth is going through a "weather cycle" I think the answers would be closer to what YOU are expecting (the "correct" answer). The way the questions are worded is everything... and I think you know that.

Their head of economics is a devout Republican, George W. Bush graduated from there, and one of Young Republicans' largest and most successful bases is on campus.

They legally have a right to say anything but maybe we should have qualifications for exactly what can be considered news and what can be considered opinion and a separation of networks for that.

I love to watch CNN because it's more balanced. The truth is though that you need to watch all viewpoints to get the full picture. Fox News SUCKS but I do sense a bias on the reporting here when the woman gets excited when the study announced MSNBC has the most accurate reporting.

So how do you explain the job loss trend reversing almost immediately following the Stimulus going into effect! The economy has added jobs for 11 straight months. The Republicans characterizations of it were blatantly disingenuous since they railed against it in Washington but took credit for the projects it funded at home! The only reason MSNBC viewers did better was because they believed these liberal myths.
Lets say, hypothetically, that some of the ridiculous claims this study makes are true. They are all things that conservatives would believe. It did not address any liberal myths. It did not address the liberal myth that the wealthy don't pay their fair share. It also did not address the myth that the Bush tax cuts went mostly to the rich. These are common liberal misconceptions.

My problem with this study is that it presents unproven liberal opinions as objective facts. By most measures, the stimulus did kill jobs. As soon as I saw that this study was presenting that the stimulus created jobs as fact, I knew it was a totally worthless study.
Outside of the study, the rant that the two hosts had at the end. MSNBC does not give both sides. There is so much misinformation on MSNBC, it is countless.

Even if that was correct. The study only exams things conservatives believe. It didn't ask questions about common liberal myths like "the rich do not pay their fair share in taxes", or the "Bush Tax Cuts did not help the economy".

It was my understanding that they were suppose to be a major job creator and pay for itself, but Bush posted the worst job numbers of any POTUS in history with only 1.95 million jobs created. To put it in perspective Clinton's record was 22.7 million jobs in the same amount of time with higher taxes. Even Bush's dad did 2.6 million in one term before getting the boot. Not to mention it helped to create a deficit and added to the debt!

IN 2007, when the tax cuts, both wars, and the medicare prescription drug program were fully in effect, the deficit was 1.2% of GDP. It is Obama who is responsible for the giant deficits today. Bush's tax cuts were enacted in 2003. From 2003-2007, the economy added 8 million jobs. That is very strong

@aaasssfffdddiii sorry to tell you this but Bush did not include his lovely tax cuts , the cost of the wars or Medicare part D in his budgets until the final one fiscal year 2009 which started in October 2008! He handed Obama a 1.2 Trillion dollar deficit and a 10 trillion debt. Automatic emergency spending triggers that would have gone off no matter who was in office contributed to the debt. Obama's spending accounts for $140 billion (4%)of the 3.5 trillion dollar deficit that year.

@mef75baby Well no. I like the CATO institute. But not everything they say is right. Unlike liberals, we conservatives actually question our own experts instead of following like sheep. The fact is that Obama was key in getting the bailout passed, and his sstimulus spending added alot to the 2009 deficit. The worst part is that the 2009 deficit was supposed to be termporary, but Obama's spending willl make it worse for a long time.

If we are going to use that kind of logic than we have to assume that John Boehner and the Republican led 112th Congress are mostly to blame for this year's budget which is 3.8 trillion and presents a larger budget deficit than the one in 2009! It doesn't matter if it was set in place by the last Democrat led congress, this congress OWNS IT NOW! It's all their fault lol!

@mef75baby I would say that protecting us from terrorism is pretty darn important. The medicare part D was an expense, but it is very small compared to what Obama has spent. And those tax cuts got us out of a recession and sparked growth in the economy, paying for a large portion of them. Plus the Republicans left Democrats with a deficit of $151 Billion. Democrats took that small deficit and turned it into a deficit of 1.3 Trillion in 2009!!!

The 2003 tax cuts immediatley sparked job growth. 8 million jobs were created from 2003-2007.... The idea of Bush leaving things out of the budgets is not true. Which bailout are you referring to, the bank bailout that Secretary Henry Paulson (Bush Administration) was the architect of, with wide bi-partisan support or the Auto Bailout (Obama Administration) that actually turned a profit for the government? You claim the stimulus added so much to the debt. Care to clarify in real numbers? Oh and please cite your reference!

@aaasssfffdddiii So how do you explain the job loss trend reversing almost immediately following the Stimulus going into effect? The economy has added jobs for 11 straight months. The Republicans characterizations of it were blatantly disingenuous since they railed against it in Washington and in the media but took credit for the projects it funded at home! If they hated it so much, why did they take credit for it locally at events and in letters to their constituents?

9.) There is no objective evidence that the economy is getting better. In fact, it should be much better. The stimulus hurt job growth. Of course we would see some job growth this year, but it should be much faster.
10.) House Republicans did OPPOSE TARP the first time it was voted on. The second time. Overall Republicans barely favored it.

7.) Income Taxes are scheduled to go up. Read the Health Care Bill, it includes new medicare taxes on income. This is an increase in income taxes.
8.) The stimulus was NOT 1/3 tax cuts. It was 1/3 tax CREDITS. They are very different things. Credits are handouts. Basically welfare disguised as a tax cut. A tax cut would involve paying a lower rate of taxation to the government.

3.) Climate Change is not occurring. This is misleading wording. Most people think that climate change means man-made. Therefore, it is misleading question.
4.) Obama did not initiate it, but he did take them over. He initiated ownership of them.
5.) I don't believe that 63% of Fox viewers believe this about Obama. If they did, than this is the only genuine falsehood that Fox News viewers believe.

Wow, this study has been debunked.
1.) The stimulus did LOSE jobs, the unemployment rate is still higher than Obama said it would be WITHOUT the Stimulus
2.) Health Care reform WILL increase the deficit. The CBO report has numerous flaws. It assumes that there will be no Doc Fix. It also assumes that the government will actually cut medicare. It has been debunked.

Stimulus money was not lent to create business. It coverered losses. So where would the jobs be. Bernacke just said Unemployment would contiunue to be worse for the 5 years. The health care bill does not reduce the deficiet. the logic used is that by "creating revenue" through taxation is reducing a deficeit. two points. So higher tax rates is good for who? The people who take home less money? Its like saying this will cost more, so we will count higer taxes

The information presented in this video is misleading in its own right. The climate change statement for example. The climate changes every day; of course EVERYONE would believe the climate is changing. Regarding the health reform law, there financial experts on both sides that say the reform will cause the deficit to increase and those who say it will decrease. The real question is it the responsibility of tax payers to cover health insurance for the uninsured. I have more but am out of room
