Employment as a human right? See give me a break. Union guys just furious that the unrealistic days of being able to make $65k per year with amazing pensions and benefits to work on an assembly line with no education are over.
Great job CBC! Leave it up to the CBC to get a compelling, insightful, and balanced documentary. Now let's get those criminals prosecuted, bonuses revoked and the regulations in place to do something about this.
The cost for providing a home for a home homeless family is minimal and yet there is not a safety net providing this. Instead the society feels it is beneficial to let them live on the street. How is this possible, or are the politicians so stupid ? It is so incredibly wasteful.
@dannymaclamp It does not help to increase minimum wage, as labor is "imported", and operating outside of the labor laws, although within the legal business framework providing service.
Keeping labor the force on streets, and kids without education is not so financially smart.
@MaxZagar These union guys sound like thugs themselves, the whole idea is that by all banding together you can extract a higher salary for unskilled labour. It's really true that what a union does is give leverage to people who have absolutely none based upon their own value within the job market. Education really is the key, we should have free university - but for necessary skills, engineering, science, business - not bachelor of arts type stuff.

@MaxZagar Yeah they should make the minimum wage $40 an hour and then everyone will live happily ever after.
