  • Bendix looks a bit like George Washington lying on that couch.

  • Bendix! Bendix!! Bendix!!!

  • Bendix was such a fine actor.

  • "They'd been talking for hours." Boy, is that guy gonna have a heart attack when he gets the bill.

  • Very ironic that Martin Balsam would play Admiral Kimmel, the Commander of the Pacific Fleet in Tora Tora Tora which was a movie about the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

  • @spacestevie2 That's the most ironic thing I have ever heard.

  • Argument to the doctor's point that Time travel doesnt exist... -- Let's say he went back in time, he already has a wife and kids..and he may have died in 1941, but technically he was alive in 1958, and would have basically died or disappeared in present day.. Nothing would have happened to his kids, just because he went back in time and died, since they were already born before he died.

  • President Kennedy said, "The human brain is still the best computer of all."

  • If there's one thing I learned from the Twilight Zone, it's that psychiatrists never help.

  • hahahahahaha

  • @bigedf I could have told you that without seeing an episode. They pump me with antidepressants but that never helps me, really.

  • @UglySean That's too bad they don't help you. I wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for antidepressants. And I really mean that, I would have killed myself for sure.

  • @bigedf In real life, psychaitrists rarely do help. But in the TZ episode with Ed Wynn. (forget the title), a psychaitrist DID help him!

  • @bigedf They help more than in TZ, but they have their "defaults" like everyone else. :)

  • Would like to be that guy and go back from now to 9/10/01.

  • I love when the characters trade places. When the shrink sits in the patient's seat and the patient says "Alright, doc, tell me"... awesome.

  • @deloreanized Shh. I didn't get that far yet. Damn you ruined it.

Not really, but I didn't need to read that just yet.

  • this is the same story that was used on the twilight zone

  • this is the pilot of the twilight zone it aired on another show though. Then the studio executives decided to make it into a serise

  • oh, where did u learn that from? the only pilot i know of is entitled "where is everybody?"

  • i read something on it awhile ago but i know it mentions it on wiki.

Basically Cbs picked it up after it got a good response

  • that was the original pilot but they have decided to change it for a reason, so they decided the where is everybody to be the pilot episode :)

  • @flickers1988 Rod Serling wanted to do a series called "The Twilight Zone" as early as 1957, but his pilot for it was shelved. This show was made from that script, and presented on "Desilu Playhouse". Originally, sponsors did not want stories with open endings, but Bert Granet, who was later to be a producer on "The Twilight Zone" got this show made. This show got more mail than any other "Desilu Playhouse" that year, and so Rod Serling was given the go ahead to do his series.

  • I don't see how he could be sleeping in that deep state breathing stimulating cigarette smoke.

  • Was that announcer George Fenniman?

  • That psychyatrist was Archie Bunker's friend and business partner.

  • I had a day dream that was for a week and had nothing to do with going back in time. The waking dream was this: The sounds of a woman and her daughter in a automobile accident along with the sounds of them screaming and tearing/crushing metal. It's non stop.

    Kinda sad.

  • LOL! WHAT'S WITH THE SCROLLING SENTENCE! lol

  • Prior to TV Land's debut as a cable network of its own, Nick at Nite had a 'sneak peak.' The scrolling sentence alerted Nick at Nite viewers to this fact in an effort to urge them to contact their cable company to carry the new channel. It was a fantastic channel when it began.

  • ah ok. I have a friend who knows ALOT about the Twilight Zone. He has the series on DVD.
