My game is not pirated. This bug started occuring after the newest steam patch. Pirating the previous patch, overwriting the files and disabling steam is the only workaround I could find. Even disabling ENB does not help. The game is still a garbage port.

but I got a old 2.4 quad core, 4000 ram and a ATI HD 4850 and I can play on Ultra Settings flawlessly. So your hardware should be more than enough

I never had any problems with this game. There is a fix for the audio output and the programm that lets you change the Gigabyite usage for your RAM. And after the newest patch no crashes anymore.

Maybe try changing your audio output to 48000Hz. This is what fixed it for me.

Newest patch installed, ATI 6870, Newest drivers, AMD Phenom 965, 8gbs of RAM, Even with mods disabled game still refuses to run unless it is on lowest settings. Nice port Bethesda, do it again sometime. GAME OF THE YEAR.

I get this sometimes too. The problem is that Skyrim can't handle >2GB RAM. We used to be able to modify the .exe with flags which let it see more than that, but NOPE. They patched it to tie it completely with Steam. Someone ported the unlocker from FNV though, and it's usable as a temp fix.

Download this and run the .exe every time you want to play Skyrim, it'll launch it for you and make it see upto 4GB of RAM.

As evidenced by your config page, you're using the ENB DX override plugin (popular amongst those who like to 'enhance' GTA4) which is quite likely why you're having video-specific problems. Remove the ENB video wrapper and try again. And yes, you are the one who had to install that wrapper, it didn't come that way.

You will know you have it fixed when your video adapter lists your ATI 6870, and not 'ENB'

@Albuquerquefx That wasn't the problem. The fact that the game was a ported piece of garbage was the problem. The 1.3 update fixed it.
