  • Class .... Easy to recognize .... hard to describe, hands down this man was made of it

  • Very nicely done!

  • Cagney, Robinson, Bogart....They don't make actors like they used to.

  • loved it.

  • There will never be another trio of actors like Humphery Bogart, James Cagney, and Edward G. Robinson. Those guys were the classic gangsters in the early days and yet were able to perform other roles as well.

  • What a life. Miss him.

  • He was a class act and a consistently good actor. Lovely tribute.

  • I LOVE Eddie G. Robinson, and named one of my cats after him! This is a wonderful tribute, and thanks for posting it!

  • Proud to be Romanian like him ;)).

  • m'yeah see?

  • The little guy stood 10 foot tall, always gave a great performance. A finer actor never lived.

  • what about heath ledg... oh

  • Edward G. Robinson's gangster roles are great but I enjoyed many of his other performances such as "Our Vines Have Tender Grapes" and "Scarlet Street".

  • greatest actor ever hands down

  • your absolutely right

    no question about that .

the greatest actor who ever lived

bogart and cagney wanted to be just like him but they couldnt because he was the original . it was a sin that hollywood never gave this man an oscar .shame on you jerks at the academy awards for not recognising this mans genius . r.i.p. edward we all miss you ,

  • @jayronnie2 they gave him an Oscar, what are you talking about? And let's be honest, he isn't "the best actor to ever live". However, when it comes to gangster movies, he is one of the most influential actors period. I truly admire him.

  • Edward G Robinson whose tough sinister appearance on the movie screen concealed the soul of a gentle man. Baz,your photos are wonderful! Fondly, V.

  • Still when I see Edward G., I think of a murderous thug. That's terrible, but he played it so well.

  • Keys! So much more to people than what they do for a living. Us in the real world only know these people by our visualizing them in their make believe world. Strange! Very nice.

  • He made being a bad guy very popular! his face

harmonized well with gangsters and crime laced

characters. Yet in real life he was totally

different! a gentlemen with a love of doing Art` dignified well dressed and reserved.

Yes you can not judge a book by its cover.

    Vintage photos are excellent.
