ok ppl please dont get offended or anything but she was very pitchy and (no offense again) she sounded lyk she was singing thru her nose. especially at the end she was very very pitchy. but shes only ten yes i no and with some lessons im sure she can be rlly good. just speakin my mind
To compare and contrast is not really fair as we are dealng with very young children here , both are great and have a lot of bottle to be able to perform like this and anyone who has to demonise one against the other really needs to have a look in that scary cracked mirror to try and figure out how you would need to be so silly as to have to attack like a tired and hungry vulture whos lost most of its teeth and cant sing for its supper, isnt that right Simon, you should know.
To SonjaToma, This is Brandi's father. Typically I don't respond but in this case, I have to. Brandi's mother didn't write "That girl(Connie) sings like OOOK, but my daughter sings way better!" She would never do that. Never. The problem with youtube is people can write whatever they want and post whatever they want. No one we know has ever wrote anything unpleaseant about CT. Both of these children sing very well for their ages. They are both blessed.

Oh wow that was good! I'm playing Dorothy in the play in January. It's not the musical though, because we couldn't find a piano player... how old is she? I'm 13 she looks about 11 maybe.. 12...10?

I agree that walking constantly while singing is a total distraction. It's annoying for the audience to keep following her pacing redundantly on the stage singing. I still cannot say I am impressed by your singing. I am impressed however by your courage. Your singing still needs work which I encourage you to do so if you are driven enough. Is this a local production?

Ditto, agree totally! I'm sorry I wasted my time to watch this inferior production and supposed 'talent'. Connie kills this version in every aspect possible.
I have to agree, the pacing is distracting, but it doesn't obscure the fact that this is lovely singing. I liked that she used Judy Garland's phrasing, yet put her own imprint on it. Would love to hear her sing some more Garland songs.
Hi Donna, This is Brandi's dad. The pacing is coming from the direction of the Director of the theatre. Even I have to agree, it wasn't the best blocking in town but it still doesn't take away from Brandi's beautiful singing. By the way, we're taking a look at Judy Garland's Get Happy.
Now I kinda wish I did something at 10 haha. I'm 16 now. =x but yeah,

I wouldn't go so far as to say she's better than Judy Garland (we'll have to wait sixty-eight years to see about that), but for my money her version is far more moving the the American Idol-type versions I've heard.

The people comparing talents are ridiculous.
By thinking only of how each version compares to the others, you miss out on how amazing each one is.
This girl has a gorgeous voice, and sings from the heart. That's all you need--this girl is phenomenal.
