  • Saw them at the Garden in 2008, great show. Too bad the guys can't get along any more? Everyone would love to hear hear a new album and not so much bullshit!~

  • Damn, if there was ever a thread that needed a heavy dosage of Depakote, Lithium, Seroquel and Klonopin, I think we've found it.

  • TruthAxe: didn't you have anything smarter to respond than "chupame la polla chapero"?... I rest my case, I won't answer anymore to your 35 IQ's remarks, retard!!

  • Hahaha! TRUTHAXE! You are one of the "most amusing" and most entertaining commentators yet. Keep it up bud. BTW, though a rushed performance, The Police are known for their raw punk and reggae-infused style, which comes with an energy that only true Police fans understand.

  • @satchvanjohnson41 What do you know, exactly? How many times have you seen them at the peak of their career?

  • @TruthAxe I have not seen them live, but I've watched pretty much every live video of them the media has to offer, including concert DVD's, and I like what I see and hear. So does everyone else who considers themselves a fan of this awesome band.

  • @satchvanjohnson41 That's cool. I liked them in their hey day, having seen them three times, being as close as about 26th row after having moved up. I've seen Sting twice in his better days as well.

Not every performance is spot on. Those claiming so don't get music, don't get band dynamics or musical performance.

  • @TruthAxe Too bad I just made you dance as well. But to beat you with a quote from a band you obviously like, in wrapped around finger, Sting's lyrics read "your servant is your master." Now what does that prove? That I was right and you were wrong this entire time. To further this point, unless you are the last person on Earth than you are everybody's slave because even the random people on the opposite side of the world will have an effect on your life, even though it might be miniscule.

  • My puppet @RidankMusic. You answered first. You go to great lengths to petition for my attention. You're riddled with contradiction.

You amuse puppet. You are my petite jester. Perform in my court as so ordered.

  • @TruthAxe You should probably stop arguing with RidankMusic because he actually is right. Sorry man, even though I agree with you on how awesome this band is, you're wrong because although the puppet comments make sense, they are only partial truths due to the fact that he is making you respond. Basically you are only looking at a small piece, from one perspective, of a much larger mass while Ridankmusic is trying to show you the entire picture.

  • @satchvanjohnson41 Dude he's about as right as you are. I posted comments first. He freaked out and responded from compulsion.

When I pointed out to him that he freaked out and responded from compulsion, he responded from compulsion, yet again.

    He's done that every time.

If you think he's right, you're not smart. So which is it?

  • @TruthAxe Maybe this is your problem... I didn't react in anger, I just had to point out that you were being an idiot. This is because when I see somebody thinking they are better than somebody else I have to tear them down when I know that they are wrong with nothing but pure logic.

  • @TruthAxe I understand that many people do that. Pretty much, this is an argument that cannot be won. It is dependent upon the beliefs of the speaker, which thus can never be proven wrong. Just proven different.

  • @TruthAxe But the truth doesn't stop there. You see, if you are the last person on Earth you are still natures slave. I know this is a shock to you because you thought on such a small scale, as unintelligent people do, but it's okay because I will forgive you if you admit that I was correct.

MEANINGLESS BONEHEAD!!

  • @kop1612 Chupame la polla chapero.

  • lmao! and you were critizicing and telling me I "cannot be taken seriously because I wrote the wrong determiner adjective -- this -- instead of the word -- these"?.your spanish is worse than my english... looks like you used one of those online translators, copied, paste.. you should know those things are not very reliable if you don't check and correct the given result of the translation... Do yourself a favor and don't even try to write or speak english again, you are making a fool of yourself

  • @kop1612 Whatever pajero.

  • TruthAxe, you are right, I made a mistake in my message, I speak spanish mostly´ (let's see you try to write in spanish bonehead!!) . You said I can't be taken seriously and still you read the message and answer it, that is a huge contradiction, and I have news for you smartass: you typed "All anyone need do" , when the right way would be "All anyone need TO do"... and if anyone would have to crawl into a whole it would have to be the ass of your mother, asshole!!!

  • @kop1612 Escritura en español es fácil, pero lo que es un lenguaje feo. El idioma no coincida con la cultura y no el ADN de las personas.

  • @TruthAxe, your judgment can't be taken seriously, this guys have had a huge successful career, while you... who are you again? lol

  • You amuse, @kop1612. You cannot be taken seriously because you wrote the wrong determiner adjective -- this -- instead of the word -- these.

All anyone need do is put side-by-side three live performances of this song. It can be shown, easily, that one shall be rushed as this performance is.

So go crawl back into the whole from whence you came.

  • @TruthAxe, no matter if I don't write correctly, you are still none!!

  • A sad performance from a musician's standpoint. Rushed. Disconnected.

  • @TruthAxe You're a moron.

  • You amuse, @Nigelxman.

Mere words triggered you into uncontrolled behavior. So tell us, who is the moron, exactly?

    HA HA HA

  • @TruthAxe Calling you a "moron" constitutes "uncontrolled behavior"?. :-) Think again. This is a fantastic performance of "man in a suitcase". Pity that you can't see that.

  • You amuse, @Nigelxman. Again!

Your simple mind gets controlled so easily. You read mere words in the comments -- mine -- and were driven into action. No one knew of you before hand. No one demanded that you specifically comment.

Yet, your weak, inferior, simple mind became triggered easily. The evidence has come. You're the moron.

    And this performance is horrible.

  • @TruthAxe Not trying to get involved in an argument here, but surely saying things like "your weak, inferior, simple mind" implies that you too have been triggered into 'uncontrolled behaviour' by "mere words"? Just an observation.

Onto the vid... From a musician's perspective, this performance is great, actually. Sure, disjointed at first, but it's fun. It has energy. It's RAW. And have you heard that bassline? Try playing that on bass and singing it as well as Sting does! Not gonna happen.

  • You amuse, @BelavistaMan.

Mere words have triggered your effeminate, meddlesome nature. Look at you go!

From a musician's perspective, this rushed performance reveals the lazy, greedy size of pop music.

  • @TruthAxe What's this whole "You amuse" thing about?

Anyway, 'mere words' didn't trigger me to do anything. As stated in my comment earlier, an Observation 'triggered' me to make a relevent, passing comment. A comment that remains relevent in the fact that you still bother to retaliate with, as you put it, 'mere words'.

Just out of curiosity, not argument, if you think this song is lazy and greedy, why did you choose to listen to it?

  • Most amusing, @BelavistaMan.

There you go again. Mere words make you dance into action. You read (observed) mere words. Those words controlled your mind. Enslaved by those words, your compulsion to act became so great that you wrote to me. HA HA HA

Those words own your mind. Your mind is owned. You are not free, but a mere slave.

Not only a slave, but a puppet. My words pulled your strings and you danced like a puppet. You performed for me. Look at you go! Ma petite puppet.

  • @TruthAxe Well, all I can say is that you're the one making overzealous presumptions. You're the one who believes he has to reply in such a manner whilst I'm simply trying to make conversation about a video, like others on this site. Now tell me, who's the one who's enslaved by words? Because it certainly isn't me.

  • My ever amusing, enslaved friend @BelavistaMan.

So you want talk about these has-beens. Sure. What did you like about them in their day?

  • @TruthAxe Excuse me sir... you are a dumbass. This is simply because you are committing the same crime as everyone that you are criticizing. BelavistaMan is making you react in the same way that he is reacting to your comments. If he is a "mere slave" then so are you my friend. I realize that in your mind I am now a so called slave but it is worth writing this to tear you down even though you will never believe me. If you were truly "free" then you would have never replied to Nigelxman.

  • You amuse most of all, @RidankMusic.

Look at you, in your anger, so controlled that you felt compelled to write. At least you're smart enough to attempt to address me properly. You know your place.

However, you demonstrate the most amusing logical contradiction. You see me as sir -- a superior to you -- and then you attempt the lame insult of dumbass.

Keep tickling the funny bone. You're a keeper.

  • @TruthAxe Just as I predicted, you have failed to address the real argument. Instead, because you know that your ratiocination is incorrect, you decided to take a look at a simple paradox and deem it amusing. According to your statements, I am your slave, but at the same exact time you are mine.... Is this not a paradox in itself? Your reasoning has been felled, you make no valid points, and thus I conclude you to be an unintelligent fool.

  • My most amusing, @RidankMusic.

You responded first, to your master. Me, merely, I am lecturing to my slave pointing out truth. No paradox exists.

And yet, we see how, as you dance like a puppet, you become angered for being captive on strings and thus you resort to the weakest of all methods -- ad hominem by name calling.

Good luck with your mediocre IQ. It's a cruel world.

  • @TruthAxe My mediocre IQ? As I have proven once again, arguing with idiots is always impossible because they fail to realize why they are wrong. Hopefully, I can make you dance one more time by responding to this message just as you danced to my last messages.

  • Oh my poor mediocre IQ puppet @RidankMusic. Look at you go! The strings get pulled and you dance. HA HA HA.

  • yeh man! me too i remember this on vhs ,always been a police fan, cant find it on dvd, remember stuarts tape job,

  • I love it!! Thanks, thanks, thanks for sharing!

One day they will release Around the World on DVD, I just know it! ; )

  • i watched this video when learning the drums a million times. i wore it out! my entire family and all classmates knew who this stewart copeland guy was........ i still get chills when dealing with the police. they were/are a big part of my life.

  • One of the best The Police songs. Now I'm going to search for Canary

  • This is just so fucking gerat :-)

  • Def. a great version, the only live one I've ever heard. It almost sounds like Andy or Sting starts in the wrong key then corrects his self. Gotta love how much energy they played with, mistakes and all, they flew by the seats of their pants. I love the rawness of this track. Now if we could only find a live version of Canary In A Coalmine!

  • I was looking for that song live. Finally, I found it.

  • i'm glad this video is back. I absolute love man in a suitcase. Just such an under-rated song from the police catalogue
