  • @georgerelax7302 Why do we have to choose between wealth and living in peace? Was it not our Creator that allowed us to live with both of those things in our lives?

  • 0:32 or the person died from the rapid jarring of the brain or suffer from a severe concussion. just a thought...

  • @beallman64 That's exactly what I thought. Better than having half the grey stuff on the floor, I guess.

  • Some kid at MIT made this 1:40

  • 1:23 subtitles say "secret Russian ingredient is hidden in vodka bottle found in basement"

  • Teehee "Rigged"

  • georgerlax7302@ wars are what made you able to speak you mind on youtube

  • @SweatyBallsIntrestMe revolutions is what made me speak my mind on ytb...wars is what makes people hungry and dead so that other people drive a ferrari....

  • i think they are looking in the right direction. Things sometimes are reverse from what seems normal. A liquid/gel style vest if created with the right variable could have more stopping power with less weight and more flexibility than the harder style body armor they are making. Bullets and water don't mix. If they can come up with something that is like water but stops/slows down a projectile as well or better than i think it will work better than something hard for armor.

  • the thumbnail looks like a man's severed head

  • non-Newtonian Fluid. what a fantastic idea!

  • yes it's very secret when on world wide tv

  • shoot it twice in the same spot and then look at the result.

  • @deductivedetective anyone that can hit the same spot twice is a fucking master. do you realise how hard that would be? well putting a helmet on a mannequin will produce much different results but you get the point

  • @RKftw68 what if he's right next to you?

  • @deductivedetective they are probably going to notice a .50 bmg being pointed at them

  • 0:35 I see holes in the helmet....

  • WTF is that at 1:36? Look like a patch of Sasquatch pubes. lol

  • now try seeing if it can stop a .338 lepua magnum or .50 BMG at just 10 metres

  • @Devorvan Yeah. Because everyone gets shot by a .50 or .338 Mag. from that range...

  • @mgsfan15 well it's possible

  • @Devorvan Of course it's POSSIBLE, but it's also not gonna happen that .50 or .338 rounds are gonna be used for CQB fighting. Those heavy MG and sniper rounds.

  • @Devorvan show me a vid of someone hitting a target at 10 metres with a .50 bmg while standing and ill give you a cookie haha

  • @RKftw68 its illegal to post videos like that in my country

  • @Devorvan my point is that the kind of shot is near impossible

  • @Devorvan illegal to post? or to make? if its post lol you have no freedom of speech

  • why make bullets and make bullet proof vest? stop making bullets.

  • @ma70killer because you want to kill without being killed.

Unless you tell soldiers to throw bullet proof vests at harmless suicide bombers. That would work.

  • i think they use kevlar with that liquid and which makes them a nice combanation and makes it the best bulletproof fabric

  • hurray.....they stol technology from the US Military.....congrats!

  • @KagaKiyomitsu ha ha ha. yeah i know they r so stupid

  • @KagaKiyomitsu Nobody stole anything you moron. This isnt exactly new or unclassified secret. Other countries including China and N.Korea are messing with the same shit.

  • chuck norris's pee

  • why to build a more bulletproof helmet or vest when the others are going to make more powerful guns and bullets..guns and wars are so stupid....

  • @georgerelax7302 you have to be ahead to win if you lag behind then if you are forced into ar you'll lose

  • @TheAlexagius wars are just stupid..we can all live with quality and cooperate to fight for other things...

  • @georgerelax7302 well i wish that would happen all soldiers should aswell unfortunatly in the real world its not like that people fight beuace often they have nothing wars will continue forever unlees 1) man becomes extinct 2) there is 1 empire with nazi style law enforcement, i chose the world we live in its shit but it could be a whole lot worse

  • @georgerelax7302

the competition between shield and sword is eternal

  • @Scoutrussp7 yes,if you are stupid enough...

  • @Scoutrussp7 until you realise that the shield hinders and you follow the samari traditions and don't carry a shield, go into battle wishing to die and you shall live go into battle hoping to live and surly you shall not, aka light weight gurillia soldiers beat heavily armoured ones like in veitnam and afganistan

  • @georgerelax7302 For the same reason as always, to protect yourself from the one who thinks it is better to steal what you have produced instead of buying it/producing it himself and will get guns so he can. Putting aside a percentage of your income for military purposes is a good insurance policy.

  • @myslmysl the best policy is not to steal and giving chance to everyone to produce and consume...no other policy is good and should be tolerated...and most of countries with powerfull army steal instead protecting what they've produced..

  • @georgerelax7302 And i agree with my hole heart on that. The problem is not everyone does and condemming them with harsh words and putting down your foot in a very decisive manner does not keep them from you. Sometimes you need a stick to ward such thieves of.

  • @myslmysl stop paying for military equipment, give your money a worth and then there will be noone stealing from you...

  • @georgerelax7302 wars are stupid, guns are tools people are stupid many people use guns for sport and self defence whats stupid about that?

  • @georgerelax7302 Why develop ways to cure retarded people if bigger, more astonishingly retarded fuck-ups are bound to be born ? You are a prime example of that. We need to keep up, you know.

  • @Spartan117A1 because they can become usefull to society unlike you and your stupid guns that you can be only harmful...ok armyhorny???

  • @georgerelax7302 How can retarded people become useful if they are... well, retarded ?

Do you not understand the concept of mental disability ? You really are something huh...

  • @Spartan117A1 you stupid motherfucker...do you know what cure means???you said so....

  • @georgerelax7302 Calm down, don't get your panties in a bunch, ma'am. I know what I said.

My point is, you're contradicting yourself in the same way I just did.

  • @Spartan117A1 now I see your point...but if you think that this was a point then nobody told you that competition is to improve people and societies not harm them...except if you believe that wars and soldiers help societies....so being proud for creating a new vest or new gun is stupid...when you create sth really useful then you should be proud..

  • @georgerelax7302 War is necessary. People need to die so others can live in peace, it's been like that since the beginning of times.

    It's called natural selection.

  • @Spartan117A1 that's what they tell you?? making war so that there is peace?? why don't you die so that other people live in peace?? the beginnning of times people thought that lightnings were produced because of the rage of a God...we are not at the beginning of times...we are in 21st century and we are calling you to follow us and common sense...

  • @Spartan117A1 in peace?? war is necessary so you can live in wealth not in peace...we can all live in peace but we can't all live in wealth..we can all live decently but not like americans live...2 cars(suv with more than 400horsepower) per person...

  • try this with cornstarch!! i wanna see a vid like that, shooting bullet into cornstarch

  • what about a 7.62 round to the head?

  • @devin1719 vhat about rpg rocket in somebodys mouth?

  • @dominik5555555555 how about an aircraft missile?

  • @louie000007 im sure it will stop it but the explosion around it will get u. how about that? lol.

  • @devin1719 a british soldier survived one. The ballistic protection forced the bullet to deviate and it came out from the other side without touching his head.

  • Yeah, they need an underpadding that absorbs shock. Otherwise you would feel like Mike Tyson got mad at you.

  • soo.. its a vest that has a hardon for bullets

  • riggid LOL

  • @abnrmlty Froem billions nanoparticles! a-yes.

  • When i saw that picture when your about to click the video, i thought it was a dead squirrel under a car XD

  • Greaat success!

  • Hmmmm what a way to show the public this stuff... So the enemy will be like "well why don't we just shoot in the face"...... Well what do ya know...

  • almost all armors can stop 9mm but how about the 7.62x51 NATO round that is fired by the HK417 then that will be in the advanced level.

  • @XxXPenrdXxX try dragon skin

  • @MrImaperson much more expensive

  • @XxXPenrdXxX there is not a lot of things that can stop even a 5.56 so 9mm is prity good and will people stop speaching like they have seached it online

  • @XxXPenrdXxX Modern US infantry body armour with ceramic plates can stop 3 hits from the 7.62x51 NATO.

  • @jtwarlock No it CANT. they can only take one hit and than they break up.

  • @gorgonzo1a Each Small Arms Protective Insert (SAPI) plate can take 3 direct hits from 7.62x51 NATO M80 ball, while the new Enhances Small Arms Protective Insert can protect against armor piercing 7.62x51 ammunition. The vest itself can only protect the user from shrapnel and 9x19 Parabellum.

  • At 2 min 27 you his name Evgeny Chestikov. I know his his son, he works for Benylin, Ivor Chestikov.

  • sounds alot like its made out of cornstarch and water hahah

  • Well yeah no shit it will protect from a 9mm bullet, if a bulletproof helmet can't protect against a 9mm well we it has some problems..... I saw some rifle casings I wonder if they tested the vest or the helmet with them. If they can't stop at least a 30-06 or a 7.62x54R then it is pointless to call it "bulletproof."

  • lol "Secret" research institute, not so secret now.

  • to all you idiots who are saying " oh even though the helmet stops the bullet, you'll still be dead from the transfer of energy" Don't you think the military has considered that? It's not like they have morons working on million dollar projects like this and I'm sure they will find or have already found a way to compensate for that transfer of energy... c'mon, use your heads people...

  • Sounds like a non newtonian fluid like corn starch/water mixture. Thoug I highly doubt it IS cornstarch/water.

  • this liquid armour is pointless. why dont they just use Kevlar, or even better dragon skin body armour, which stops the bullet, and also sends the shock around the body, so you dont die of the shock.

  • @oli7286 well firstly, it costs a lot of money to produce those vests, and secondly, they weigh a lot.

  • @cmonutube Actually their relitively lighter than liquid armour and we have the money, besides it's only under £100 pounds which isn't too expensive what what it does.

  • @oli7286 I highly doubt that nanofibers will be heavier than kevlar vests, considering that these new vests are a third of the thickness of original kevlars... and governments are also looking for the most cost effective solution. As this technology progresses more into the future, the cost will also go down, something unlikely to happen with kevlar vests.

  • yah but the force of impact from the bullet can cause the brain to hemorrhage

  • sure it may stop the bullet but if it doesnt absorb energy the guy is still dead

  • MEIN BULLETPROOF UNDERSHIRT

  • WTF, repel bullets? thats stupid these vest are designed to stop the bullet, not repel it so that it kills the guy next to you

  • Put that over 2 inch titanium plates and your good to go.

  • Yeah, I hear a bit of Borat in there. XD

  • no the english say rigid i think its an eastern european speaking english

  • Did he say "rig-ged" instead of 'rigid' at 1:31?

XD Nice. Must be a european thing...

  • lol!! I hear like that too! XD grammar prob

  • What country is this from?

  • how bout some advanced vodka technology....eh

  • @eatmahcherry What do you think the liquid in the vest is?

  • @g1942transient It is a nano-particle non-newtonian fluid. You can make a simple non-newtonian fluid at home with basic ingredients. Starch mixed with the proper ratio of water forms a basic non-newtonian substance. It flows freely until you impact it with say your fist to which it because hard and then when no more force is being applied, it reverts back to free flowing.

  • @eatmahcherry Stupid ass this is the future not for the dumb like you

  • that technology was an AMERICAN patent.......and the narrator has an absolutely terrible accent. (its pronounced RIGID not riggid

  • But you're from the US... how can you say someone ELSE has a terrible accent? :P

  • Even though those helmets stop 9mm bullets it must leave a hell of a mark afterwards. But thats a lot better than being dead.

  • @ILikePie750 And one hell of a headache

  • @ILikePie750 yes but now that the bullet is stopped (by the "nano" fabric), you can put just a thin piece of metal behind it to stop the impact as well. aluminium or something, you know. very light weight

  • @ILikePie750 Yep, you got a point there. I'd rather be left with a broken nose and some lost brain cells than go home in a body bag.

  • not so secret anymore.

  • AK-47 is the most used weaponm in war so they hare to make armor that can stop 7.62 bullets

  • why cant they make a helmet that can stop AK-47 bullets. its not that difficult. head is an important part of your body if you are hit on the head you die instantly. they can just putt those layers of kevlar in the helmet

  • It's a lot harder than you think

  • "not that difficult"

Go on, pull some more shit out of your ass.

  • pulling shit is a hobby for you not for me.

  • Nice comeback, buddy. Not only did you make me look dumb, but you highlighted how intellectually superior you are.

  • you are my mate <3. thanks for the feetback.

  • dragon skin can take a 7.62x 39. i watched it in person

  • if russia is all about their 7.62, why can't they make an armor to stop it?

  • well to b honest it was steel core. and america has already developed the armor its just silica powder and liquid plastic

  • @chich311, yes Russian armor is inferior to the Dragon Skin body armor, it is however expensive. That's why the damn U.S government doesn't want to provide our soldiers with it. Level 5 classified Dragon Skin almost held against .50 cal bullets. Read an article about it not long ago.

  • I know man, it ridiculous. Our boys are still wearing the interceptor armor, it helps but Dragon Skin is so much better.

  • @ILikePie750 Agreed the best

  • @DeeArrVoorhees Not almost it does stop bullets basically of any kind, and on top doesn't just stop the bullet but sends the shock around the body.

  • I like how they show a 30mm shell in the display. I'd like to see body armor deflect that kind of round :P

  • copper and lead aren't magnetic. that may would work on steel cored ammo but it would have to be some pretty strong magnets

  • if you want to see a good example of what is seen in this video put 3 parts corn starch and i part water in a bowl and punch it

  • exactly, brad

I've been meaning to do this for a while, but I don't have time or money heh

    cornstarch + water = non-newtonian fluid

hard when force applied, soft/liquid when left alone. it's fun by the looks of it in vids I've seen. custard has some of those properties as well, check out mythbusters where they walk on custard :D

  • Newton's Law of Motion III.

Do you know what causes a bullet to be so deadly? Its at .02 nm, when the core of the atom in the bullet REPEL the core of the atom in the tissue.

    Magnets don't do shit.

  • Thanks for saying it, so I didn't have to.

  • k what about supermans dead skin? thats shits gotta be hard as rock :P

  • the one thing thy have to make with armor like this - is like a gas/radiation reflective addon- like the hazmat suits they make i them "special Facilities", but with a radiation reflector (as said above)

  • Its called a non-newtonian fluid.

  • 2 points for you :D

  • whoever can make armor that survives a thermonuclear blas epicenter will win

  • 'whoever can make armor that survives a thernonuclear blast epicentre will win'

The best 'defensive armour' is having the planet between oneself and the blast.

But even this is no guarantee that one will survive if it causes every other idiot to launch one too.

The best defence is international agreement and a sane, intelligent, long term strategy for making the whole planet a more stable and relaxed place.

    that way we all win.

  • reporter fail

  • take into considerashon weight?heat?highpowered rifles i mean really!!!!!!! it 10 meter away with a 22. not a 9mm.

  • rigid fail haha

  • Riggid ftw!

  • haha i know people have already said this but its funny that this state of the art armor does technically the same thing as corn starch mixed with water

  • Nice to have armour, but your best bet is to not get shot

  • This is American technology. However I have no doubts about Russias ability to improve on technology. The Tsar bomb anyone? Plus sice we are cutting or defense research budget the Russians will perfect the tech before we do.

  • OMG i should fill my car with corn starch, then it will be bulletproof. GO NON-NEWTONIAN FLUIDS!

  • Based an advanced cornstarch technology.

  • Whatever happened to dragon skin?

  • High officer for testing bulletproof vests first reject dragon skin, then aprove other competition vest, quit job and get much better paid job in competition factory. There is video about that in google video web page.

  • Better helmet protection is pointless. Direct hit of rifle bullet in helmet always cause death, even if is stoped, because it produce enough energy to break neck.

  • cant do any harm tho can it,

  • That means every shot fired would break your shoulder. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

  • corect me if im wrong but doesnt the armor work by spreading the energy of the bullet over the entire vest, or at least a big portion of it? i suppose this takes away the punch a bullet has on a smaller surface and therefore making it unable to break a shoulder, let alone penetrate:)

  • Many are working on new helmet designs.

A popular one being tested are harder deflective one that doesn't absorb but redirect the impact.

There are also trials on possible braces that would prevent neck injury.

There is even talk on explosive reactive armor for personnel. That would blow outward and deflect impact away. (Good luck on seeing that for prime time!)

  • i missed the part where breaking your neck is supposed to kill you.

  • @Vladek385 Not if it's an armour like dragon skin armour, as it is designed to reflect the force around the blast area so you probably will survive it with that. It will probably stop it breaking your neck as well.

  • wait till bullets are no longer considered deadly and lasers are all the rage like something from a sci-fi movie

  • russian guns love to eat 7x62x32 rounds, 80% of their arsenal uses that (rifles) so this won't help much.....

  • it's 7.62x39mm, and its not 80%

  • Russian army use AK-74 and RPK-74 - 5.45x39mm, AK-47 that used 7.62x39mm is retired.

  • 7.62x39mm is retired.

    no. check ak 103.

  • "a 9mm pistol". Yeah.

  • the guy speaking sounds constipated!

  • what they should do is add ninjas in the army XD no armor, just fast dodging and knifing skills!

  • when they make the nanosuit from crysis then ill be amazed lol

  • ummmm terrorists dont use 9mm's they use 12 GA. 00 - busckshot, and 7.62 x 39mm rounds, this isnt going to stop shit.....

  • "terrorists"

    lol

  • they used that word kinda repetitively nowadays XD

  • lol in the very beginning they said it was some kind of secret research place but it doesn't seem to be much of a secret now

  • notice the russians are using military nanotechnology to make the vests, the usa used micro.

  • They said 6 years ago that the US had this... i think dragon skin wins tho...

  • Lol, someone said the U.S had this 3 months ago. Look at the date this video was posted...12 MONTHS AGO!!

  • Wheres the liquid?

  • its interesting to note how few military use face protection. People have been known to be shot in the face and i can tell you it is not something that is pleasant

  • I love this pseudo-debate. Youtube is always number one for funny coversations :D

PS : hey everyone, I think you must first try to survive to the economic crysis before wanting new weapons/armors :o

  • do they make bullet proof face shields

  • Your mom is a bullet proof face shie... sorry, what were we talking about?

  • you got the iq of a boiled cabbage

  • Try pulling the stick out of your ass, it's called a joke.
