ar rush is absolutely overpowered. in a non mlg game it takes 3 br shots and a melee to get a kill but it only takes an ar around 5 shots and a melee.
Bungie's melee system is a piece of shit. That's why I bought call of duty 4 and NOT Halo 3. I've tried the game at my friend's house, and we both were really pissed. I hope someone brave will get bungie to change their most retarded melee system yet.

when running at my friend and him running at me in cod4, the melee system acts about the same. i saw that when i meleed one second before him it said i missed but when he meleed, he killed me. that shows that cod4 has glitches too. get over it. all games are gitchy.

The person can already be dead and you can still melee them while falling to the ground, so you can still hear the sound of you meleeing them, even though you already killed them with the mauler. I agree it's totally messed up but it's something to live with. I personally haven't noticed it. Also, COD4's melee system is WORSE in my opinion, as you can melee in your POV, but on a killcam it says you don't. Probably having to do with connection issues but still happens frequently

This can keep players from getting constantly before they even see the melee happening. Also it avoids SOME of the beatdown-beatdown double kills that happen a lot; not all but some.

Make sure you use the same weapons with all players and yes it is annoying sometimes when people don't die from melee, makes sense though because you are wearing a suit of armour designed to take allot of shit...

jesus calm down it makes more sense because what you don't know is that the body has about 70 of its own hitpoints on top of the shields 100 or so so at half shield a melee can't kill because it has about 100 hitpoints of damage. Secondly rewarding the player who is more evasive and tactical makes more sense then the one who should be dead anyway because he was in open sight getting sprayed by fire as the last example in your video shows

This is why so many people that are skilled meleers (like me) have so many more deaths than kills. It's also odd that everytime an unfair collision happens, the player who meleed first but had less health goes flying for miles.
i like the system simply because it rewards the player that gave the most damage. melee is annoying a fuck so in fact this is great for people with actual skill.
acutally, the reason Headshot won, and to explain this video in an easier manner...the melee function brings your shields down to nothing, but does not kill (aka the flashing red bar). Love has the red bar already so they lose, but Headshot still had some health, and all the melee did is put him in the red
another reason why the system is flawed...i think the person with faster reflexes should be rewareded with the melee. Subjectively, don't you think that Headshot had little enough health to be killed instantly with a melee? Whether or not Love had more health at the time of the melee, he/she should have gotten the kill that time...
makes sences to me. if x has less health he most likely started attacking second or has bad shots so if you have more health you could easily just shoot them to death. i see your point but it is not that big of deal i think possibly that in those situations they should just end up with them both dieing
So that means its actually worth getting as many bullets in as possible while waiting for them to melee you, then melee just after them...so youve put an extra bullet in them as they meleed you.
It also means a good number of melee kills are of lower skill because of the above.
I think this is a wonderful example of why the melee system is awful. Thank you for so clearly and unarguably demonstrating the stupidity of the melee system

when you said the melee connected it didn't. it only connects when the gun goes up not down which is when you said it connected it didn't. the melee system is better now not flawed

the reason they did that to the melee was cause it wouldnt be fair that the guy with the best conection would always win the melee battles. but now if they both have low healt and do a melle almost simultaneously they both die

This is why so many people that are skilled meleers (like me) have so many more deaths than kills. It's also odd that everytime an unfair collision happens, the player who meleed first but had less health goes flying for miles.

i like the system simply because it rewards the player that gave the most damage. melee is annoying a fuck so in fact this is great for people with actual skill.

acutally, the reason Headshot won, and to explain this video in an easier manner...the melee function brings your shields down to nothing, but does not kill (aka the flashing red bar). Love has the red bar already so they lose, but Headshot still had some health, and all the melee did is put him in the red

another reason why the system is flawed...i think the person with faster reflexes should be rewareded with the melee. Subjectively, don't you think that Headshot had little enough health to be killed instantly with a melee? Whether or not Love had more health at the time of the melee, he/she should have gotten the kill that time...

makes sences to me. if x has less health he most likely started attacking second or has bad shots so if you have more health you could easily just shoot them to death. i see your point but it is not that big of deal i think possibly that in those situations they should just end up with them both dieing

So that means its actually worth getting as many bullets in as possible while waiting for them to melee you, then melee just after them...so youve put an extra bullet in them as they meleed you.
It also means a good number of melee kills are of lower skill because of the above.

The point isn't to melee first under this system, it's to balance the timing relative to the other player and shooting.

personally i think that the new melee system is by far an improvement, if any of you had any brain at all you would realise that the new melee system promotes the use of faster reflexes and accuracy, you are all just moaning because you suck at aiming and you cant use a radar, if you could however, you would see your opponent first and therefore deliver the fist bullets, provided that you have the required reflexes. x peace x

Wow i cant believe no1 but me actually knows wat happens... cuz this happens to me all the f*cking time but im the one with the FULL shield and i lose its because melee can reflect things back, I.E. punching a sticky grenade away, but instead it reflects a melee back so the person who dies gets hit with double force, but for some reason the dmg registers on both players but mostly on the person who meleed first.
