Bisu used a very unusual build order in this game, and Shine happened to choose a build order that countered it well - and, critically, managed to stop BIsu from scouting it. Bisu is well-known for his scouting. The egg cancel was critical, as mentioned by an earlier commentor.

Bisu fans should give Shine some credit - it makes Bisu look better, after all. It's better to lose to a good player than to a bad player, no?

@LegalizeStimpack Shine didnt actually demonstrate much skill, besides being able to macro up as many units as possible and A moving.

The thing is that, for alot of the time is all thats required. for example,out of the past 30 or so PVZ games Ive watched, as many as 80% ended like that, very frustrating to watch as a Protoss fan.

@moviemaster2010 I just mean that it would be nice to see toss start with something different than forge fast expand. It was a nice trick when protoss players started doing it but now EVERY zerg knows exactly how to beat it.

How about a delayed nexus on 16 or something, at the very least it would not allow the zerg to get a third base so fast and make the zerg player think for a change. I'd just like to see a little more variety at the start.

@BazukaT Well the reason for forge fast expand is lings, they can do run bys so easy if u dont have block off and its about an even matchup rember zerg always has to have more bases than toss its how the game works. Also reason for zerg 3 bases is because they need the hatches for larva and are usually about even with toss econ because they dont saturate as much

It's true, I like Bisu because he looks so damn good. But that doesn't mean I hate Shine because he's ugly, I like ugly players too like Stork and July. I hate Shine because he keeps knocking out my favorite players .

Forge fast expand just doesnt work anymore, if this is really the only option for protoss versus zerg, the match up is just imbalanced.

It would be nice to see a better focus on reavers, or even a player base that isnt completely out skilled by terrans and Zerg. Stork? Movie? Pure? Bisu? They just lack skill, especially, Pure and Movie, massive chokers.

Big hope for Paracalyse....... the afro toss, may be the last hope for the race.

I agree with Pioware, seem like he was expecting a switch which never came...although i'm still confused as to why not pump just one round of zealots from all those gateways instead of the dragoons to soak up the hydra damage (he sort of did it at the end but by then it was far too late) with dragoons backing up ...and venturing so far out of your base with such a troop disadvantage, cant see the logic in that...

As much as I would like to blame Shine, Bisu lost this on his own. It's very risky to use dragoons in PvZ, because if you don't have tech, you need the mineral efficient speedlots to survive hydra busts. I think he didn't build as many zealots because slowlots can have a hard time against Hydras, but this is Bisu, so maybe he could've pulled it off. Cannons would've probably not worked any better than Drgs, but maybe a few shield batteries could've saved him from the BO disadvantage.

@japphan in game 1 he had speed upgraded at 7:00, so yeah, speed would be half a minute late, but with the help of cannons and micro you can survive that time without losing too much. In this game he didn't even have a citadel in time of the attack. That's why he kept building dragoons I think. It was too late to switch tech tree.
