Nice.. I wouldn't like to be living in THAT city "Oh dear, its 'nuke day' again.."! I've not had the patience or been brave enough to play multiplayer in all my years (well, only had the option recently) - may give it a go, looks fun! XD
I turned on the "always peace" option. I got elected as a leader in un and passed some rule about not making nukes, then I went to world editor and gave myself some newks and bombed the shit outta my opponents. The ai spazzed out. Lol
... if this actually happened... like Nukes hitting almost every city, then... lets just say... unless we are able to live in space... were all most likely gonna die... modern day nuclear weapons are so powerful 1 nuke can kill almost every living thing on 1 continent and the ash cloud and the toxins in it will travel around the earth killing millions/billions...
@MrChesterarthur hey, every country who has Nukes and spends millions on having them just want to have power and control ( i am an American so u know and mean no offence to other countrys with nukes) but people are greedy for power and money and having a weapon that can destroy the earth can really prevent people from going to war... during the Cold War they had no idea what would happen... now they do... =P
@OrangeGriff Fucks the planet beyond belief, the world becomes unplayable but it's a lot harder for global warming to happen with nukes now vs pollution from population which in Civ IV isn't much of a problem compared to Civ III. Civ I was the worst, it was way too easy to trigger global warming.
Grasslands become plains, plains become deserts..it's really really bad.
@operations1000 damn thats sounds like shit plus after most of the world becomes desert people will fight eachother for the better parts of the world.

An Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile! Meaning it can be anything from a Biological Weapons warhead to an anti-matter bomb Attached! not just a nuke!
@flamehaze08 I don't think you'd want to but biological weapons on an ICBM because you'd have to install some kind of heating system to prevent the bacteria and/or virus payload from freezing when the missiles entered the upper atmosphere/low orbit on their way to their target. Seems a bit of an expense to incur when you could just load it into a bomb or conventional missile.
Thats what you do if you're losing. Just fuck em up with nukes. Too bad that they dont destroy cities in civ 4 though because in Civ 3 you'd beat the shit out of em.

@willowrhayne Well, there's a slight difference. In civ, cities population is represented by a number. That number is a small digit (generally some of the biggest cities you see are around the low 30's) yet, they may have a population of millions. It's a strange system and I can't explain it. Also, if the pop drops to 1, you can still rebuild. If your city is gone, you're fucked.
@GFedFan It would make sense if you could destroy a city if you nuked it with a population of one, maybe someone will make a mod. They will never be able to rebuild before match end. I managed to get a city into the mid 40's on a rather poorly designed map. Every workable square for the city was wheat, I sent every great person who produces food there and made cereal mills in that city.

@DeathlyDavid There is no APPARENT damage, but actually the damage it causes it's big. In the square it landed and all adjacent squares there's a chance it creates fallout, rendering the land (if it landed near or on land) useless. It causes massive damage to units, if not kill some of them. Good thing is, all nine squares get the same damage.
@bryanone777 yea i figured that out yestery on civ 4 by going on the highest level (what is it again?) anyway i've never played that high and to experiment i declared war on a high comp and he nuked me many times. Never been nuked before 0_0. yea it sucks but the good thing is i got nuclear fallout cleanup so i was lucky. I lost the game though =)
@TheLloydable They weren't nukes, they were Atomic bombs which were different. And what you said is basically true, but maybe another country may've nuked another very discreetly and has been kept a secret ever since?
@HASSIDAH Nuke is short for "nuclear" bomb. Atomic bombs were nukes. And no, nobody else dropped nukes on a war situation. A lot of them were dropped for testing though.
@marianopicco Yes, I'm not a bloody idiot, I know nuke is short for nuclear bomb, however, atomic bombs are not the same. Atomic bombs may have been referred to as 'atom bombs', because that's what they were, not nukes. There has to be some slight tweaks in a nuke from an atomic bomb.
@HASSIDAH No. They're synonims. You're just mistaking thermonuclear and nuclear. Where one relies on fission and the other fusion. Nuke=atomic bomb=a-bomb=nuclear bomb. All synonims.
lol you tried to destroy enemy ships with nuke but failed?? :D

Actually the only country to have ever dropped nukes is America......
TheLloydable 1 year ago
@TheLloydable They weren't nukes, they were Atomic bombs which were different. And what you said is basically true, but maybe another country may've nuked another very discreetly and has been kept a secret ever since?
HASSIDAH 1 year ago
@HASSIDAH Nuke is short for "nuclear" bomb. Atomic bombs were nukes. And no, nobody else dropped nukes on a war situation. A lot of them were dropped for testing though.
marianopicco 1 year ago
@marianopicco Yes, I'm not a bloody idiot, I know nuke is short for nuclear bomb, however, atomic bombs are not the same. Atomic bombs may have been referred to as 'atom bombs', because that's what they were, not nukes. There has to be some slight tweaks in a nuke from an atomic bomb.
HASSIDAH 1 year ago
@HASSIDAH No. They're synonims. You're just mistaking thermonuclear and nuclear. Where one relies on fission and the other fusion. Nuke=atomic bomb=a-bomb=nuclear bomb. All synonims.
marianopicco 1 year ago
@marianopicco I don't understand, you haven't explained it very well. Please try again.
HASSIDAH 1 year ago
@HASSIDAH Are you some kind of troll?
The Atomic bomb and the thermonuclear bomb are two different kinds of Nuclear bombs.
Reality2Void 1 year ago
@Reality2Void What's thermonuclear?
HASSIDAH 1 year ago
@HASSIDAH Thermonuclear bombs use hydrogen. And they're more powerfull in some ways. Just to sum it up.
