They got knocked for using a synthesizer on this record but it was an experiment, worked well imo. Apparently Billy Gibbons or Dusty Hill were thinking about using a drum machine as well but realised Frank Beard( the drummer without a beard!!)would be kinda looking for some thing to do !
@BloozeDaddy76 Agreed. It's absolutely criminal that you don't hear this one as much as some of their bigger hits - it rocks just as much as anything else ZZ Top has done.
I remember loving this as a kid (was a ZZ fan, but loved this track for the riff) and being baffled as to what they were talking about. ("wood" being more a US term, UK here). Imagine my disgust when they were talking about waking up with a huge... lol:) Great track.
Only the Top can make such an epic song about a morning boner :) Far better than any of today's moans about how love is a bitch.
